"BRIT-AM ISRAEL" BELIEVES:
* The Hebrew Bible is the message of God.
* Out of the original 12 Tribes of Israel Ten were lost. Two
remained. The present-day Jews are descended mainly from the two
remaining Tribes of Judah and Benjamin.
* The Khazars were a Kingdom in southern Russia many of whose
leaders converted to Judaism. The Khazars were descended from the
Lost Ten Tribes. The Khazars were blood-relatives of the Picts who
went to Scotland, and of the Anglo-Saxons, and of peoples in
Scandinavia.
* In addition to the Khazars, many other converts to Judaism
through the ages were descended from assimilated Jews or from
members of the Lost Ten Tribes.
* Most of the Lost Ten Tribes migrated to Northwest and Western
Europe and their descendants are now in those areas or in North
America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
* We do not claim that all residents of the said nations are
descended from Israel. We do however affirm that most descendants
of the Lost Ten Tribes are residents of those nations. On the whole
they are unaware of their Israelite Identity. Even so in
the
course of history the Israelite origins of peoples in those areas
have influenced national developments and national characteristics.
* The Tribe of Joseph was divided into two other Tribes: Ephraim
and Menasseh. People from ALL of the Israelite Tribes congregated
in
North America but in general the U.S.A. is dominated by Menasseh.
Britain has characteristics of Ephraim.
* Reuben was important in France, Issachar in Switzerland, Benjamin
in Belgium, Zebulon in Holland, Dan in Denmark, Naphtali in
Norway,
Gad in Sweden, the country of Finland was influenced by the Tribes
of Simeon, Issachar, and Gad; Simeon, Dan, and Ephraim were
important in Ireland.
* There is a need for the present-day "Jews" of Judah and the Lost
Ten Tribes to recognize each other, and to work towards
re-unification and reconciliation.
* Proof exists confirming "Brit-Am Israel" Identity beliefs.
Some
of the evidence has been presented in works by Yair Davidy such as
"The Tribes" (1993), "Ephraim" (1995), and
"Lost Israelite
Identity"
(1996), as well as in articles in our journal "Tribesman". Much
additional evidence is available and needs to be uncovered and
published. Our sources include the Bible, Talmud, Midrashim,
Commentators, Classical Greek and Roman historians, Chroniclers,
Legends, Linguistics, Archaeology, and where pertinent racial and
other scientific studies.
* Even though much of the evidence has been revealed by ourselves it
is not ours alone. Our proofs have never been properly refuted. The
basic claims we have made are irrefutable. If one cannot deny our
claims and there is nobody else who can it follows that one should
accept them. This means that the identity of the Lost Ten Tribes of
Israel with western peoples should be acknowledged. Once this
acknowledgment is forthcoming it is possible to discuss whatever
practical conclusions need to be made.

Answer: There was an anglo-saxon goddess named Aestre or Aester and
this is probably the name Esther which however was a Babylonian one.
The Hebrew name of Esther was Hadassah.
The Babylonian name "Esther" is believed to have been a form for
Ashtorah or Asherah. The name "Easter" is derived from it and
originally this festival was adapted from practices associated with
the fertility goddess which is the reason for easter eggs. The fact
that the Anglo-Saxons worshipped a goddess by that name is one of many
proofs showing that this people originated in the Middle East. The
LTTs were exiled for worshipping the pagan gods of the peoples around
them. Asherah is specifically referred to. Ashtoreh is translated in
Hebrew as "Asherah". An inscription has been found in the area of
Judah referring to Yahwah of Samaria and his Asherah and it depicts a
male figure similar to the Egyptian god "Bes" and a female figure
representing "Asherah". This shows us that a cult had developed that
synthesized pagan beliefs with Hebrew ones. This cult was associated
with Samaria which was the center of the northern ten tribes before
their exile.
Asherah is also mentioned in the Bible but in the KJ it is translated
as "grove" and "groves" really were frequently dedicated to the
goddess "Asherah". An "asherah" in Hebrew can also mean a grove
dedicated for pagan purposes.
[2KGS 17:6] IN THE NINTH YEAR OF HOSHEA THE KING OF
ASSYRIA TOOK SAMARIA, AND CARRIED ISRAEL AWAY INTO ASSYRIA, AND PLACED
THEM IN HALAH AND IN HABOR BY THE RIVER OF GOZAN, AND IN THE CITIES OF
THE MEDES.
[2KGS 17:7] FOR SO IT WAS, THAT THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL HAD SINNED
AGAINST THE LORD THEIR GOD, WHICH HAD BROUGHT THEM UP OUT OF THE LAND
OF EGYPT, FROM UNDER THE HAND OF PHARAOH KING OF EGYPT, AND HAD FEARED
OTHER GODS,

The word translated as "Groves" in Hebrew is "Asherim". Probably a
plural of "Asherah" and perhaps in this case the intention really is
mainly to "groves" rather than images of "Asherah."
[2KGS 17:16] AND THEY LEFT ALL THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD THEIR GOD,
AND MADE THEM MOLTEN IMAGES, EVEN TWO CALVES, AND MADE A GROVE, AND
WORSHIPPED ALL THE HOST OF HEAVEN, AND SERVED BAAL.
The word translated as GROVE is "Asherah" .
[2KGS 17:17] AND THEY CAUSED THEIR SONS AND THEIR DAUGHTERS TO PASS
THROUGH THE FIRE, AND USED DIVINATION AND ENCHANTMENTS, AND SOLD
THEMSELVES TO DO EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, TO PROVOKE HIM TO
ANGER.
[2KGS 17:18] THEREFORE THE LORD WAS VERY ANGRY WITH ISRAEL, AND
REMOVED THEM OUT OF HIS SIGHT: THERE WAS NONE LEFT BUT THE TRIBE OF
JUDAH ONLY.
[2KGS 18:9] AND IT CAME TO PASS IN THE FOURTH YEAR OF KING HEZEKIAH,
WHICH WAS THE SEVENTH YEAR OF HOSHEA SON OF ELAH KING OF ISRAEL, THAT
SHALMANESER KING OF ASSYRIA CAME UP AGAINST SAMARIA, AND BESIEGED IT.
[2KGS 18:10] AND AT THE END OF THREE YEARS THEY TOOK IT: EVEN IN THE

[ESTH 2:1] AFTER THESE THINGS, WHEN THE WRATH OF KING AHASUERUS WAS
APPEASED, HE REMEMBERED VASHTI, AND WHAT SHE HAD DONE, AND WHAT WAS
DECREED AGAINST HER.
[ESTH 2:2] THEN SAID THE KING'S SERVANTS THAT MINISTERED UNTO HIM, LET
THERE BE FAIR YOUNG VIRGINS SOUGHT FOR THE KING:
[ESTH 2:3] AND LET THE KING APPOINT OFFICERS IN ALL THE PROVINCES OF
HIS KINGDOM, THAT THEY MAY GATHER TOGETHER ALL THE FAIR YOUNG VIRGINS UNTO
SHUSHAN THE PALACE, TO THE HOUSE OF THE WOMEN, UNTO THE CUSTODY OF
HEGE THE KING'S CHAMBERLAIN, KEEPER OF THE WOMEN; AND LET THEIR THINGS
FOR PURIFICATION BE GIVEN THEM:
[ESTH 2:4] AND LET THE MAIDEN WHICH PLEASETH THE KING BE QUEEN INSTEAD
OF VASHTI. AND THE THING PLEASED THE KING; AND HE DID SO.
[ESTH 2:5] NOW IN SHUSHAN THE PALACE THERE WAS A CERTAIN JEW, WHOSE
NAME WAS MORDECAI, THE SON OF JAIR, THE SON OF SHIMEI, THE SON OF
KISH, A BENJAMITE;
Note: "A CERTAIN JEW" in Hebrew "Ish Yehudi" = "a man of
Judah". Even
though he was a "Benjaminite" by Tribe he was considered "a man of
Judah" by nation. The same applies for all those of the other tribes
who remained in the southern kingdom or re-attached themselves to
descendants of its former citizens. They are all considered "Jews" or
people of Judah. On the other hand those of Judah who went into exile
with the LTTs are considered part of the LTTs. In th last days however
each person will know his/her tribal identity and be re-attached to
their tribe. The women will go according to their husbands. The
non-Israelite sojourners (says Ezekiel 47;22) will be accorded a
portion amongst whichever tribe they had attached thmselves.
[ESTH 2:6] WHO HAD BEEN CARRIED AWAY FROM JERUSALEM WITH THE CAPTIVITY
WHICH HAD BEEN CARRIED AWAY WITH JECONIAH KING OF JUDAH, WHOM
NEBUCHADNEZZAR THE KING OF BABYLON HAD CARRIED AWAY.
[ESTH 2:7] AND HE BROUGHT UP HADASSAH, THAT IS, ESTHER, HIS UNCLE'S
DAUGHTER: FOR SHE HAD NEITHER FATHER NOR MOTHER, AND THE MAID WAS FAIR
AND BEAUTIFUL; WHOM MORDECAI, WHEN HER FATHER AND MOTHER WERE DEAD,
TOOK FOR HIS OWN DAUGHTER.
As we said "Esther" may be a Babylonian word and may connnote the
goddess "asherah" also known as "Ashtorah" or "Aesther".
The word in
Hebrew however also can be derived from a root meaning "Hidden" and
Esther was hidden in so far as she hid her identity. In a sense
Esther is even similar in some ways to Joseph.

Subject: Intermarriage and the Ten Lost Tribes
INTERMARRIAGE AND THE TEN LOST TRIBES
Just to get things into perspective:
Joseph married an Egyptian woman.
The other Tribal forefathers married women from the peoples around
them. We always accepted strangers amongst us as part of ourselves as
long as they accepted our laws. This is what we were commanded to do.
In addition according to the Books of Joshua and Judges all the tribes
intermarried with Canaannites and others even though this was
forbidden.
When the Temple was built Solomon asked:
[1Kgs 8:41] Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy
people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
[1Kgs 8:42] (For they shall hear of thy great name,
and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall
come and pray toward this house;
[1Kgs 8:43] Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place,
and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all
people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy
people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have
builded, is called by thy name.

according to the tribes of Israel.
[Ezek 47:22] And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by
lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn
among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be

Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes
of Israel.
[Ezek 47:23] And it shall come to pass, that in what
tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his
inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.
