USA AND THE TEN LOST TRIBES

"BRIT-AM ISRAEL" BELIEVES:

* The Hebrew Bible is the message of God.

* Out of the original 12 Tribes of Israel Ten were lost. Two remained. The present-day Jews are descended mainly from the two remaining Tribes of Judah and Benjamin.

* The Khazars were a Kingdom in southern Russia many of whose leaders converted to Judaism. The Khazars were descended from the Lost Ten Tribes. The Khazars were blood-relatives of the Picts who went to Scotland, and of the Anglo-Saxons, and of peoples in Scandinavia.

* In addition to the Khazars, many other converts to Judaism through the ages were descended from assimilated Jews or from members of the Lost Ten Tribes.

* Most of the Lost Ten Tribes migrated to Northwest and Western Europe and their descendants are now in those areas or in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

* We do not claim that all residents of the said nations are descended from Israel. We do however affirm that most descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes are residents of those nations. On the whole they are unaware of their Israelite Identity. Even so in the course of history the Israelite origins of peoples in those areas have influenced national developments and national characteristics.

* The Tribe of Joseph was divided into two other Tribes: Ephraim and Menasseh. People from ALL of the Israelite Tribes congregated in North America but in general the U.S.A. is dominated by Menasseh. Britain has characteristics of Ephraim.

* Reuben was important in France, Issachar in Switzerland, Benjamin in Belgium, Zebulon in Holland, Dan in Denmark, Naphtali in Norway, Gad in Sweden, the country of Finland was influenced by the Tribes of Simeon, Issachar, and Gad; Simeon, Dan, and Ephraim were important in Ireland.

* There is a need for the present-day "Jews" of Judah and the Lost Ten Tribes to recognize each other, and to work towards re-unification and reconciliation.

* Proof exists confirming "Brit-Am Israel" Identity beliefs. Some of the evidence has been presented in works by Yair Davidy such as "The Tribes" (1993), "Ephraim" (1995), and "Lost Israelite Identity" (1996), as well as in articles in our journal "Tribesman". Much additional evidence is available and needs to be uncovered and published. Our sources include the Bible, Talmud, Midrashim, Commentators, Classical Greek and Roman historians, Chroniclers, Legends, Linguistics, Archaeology, and where pertinent racial and other scientific studies.

* Even though much of the evidence has been revealed by ourselves it is not ours alone. Our proofs have never been properly refuted. The basic claims we have made are irrefutable. If one cannot deny our claims and there is nobody else who can it follows that one should accept them. This means that the identity of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel with western peoples should be acknowledged. Once this acknowledgment is forthcoming it is possible to discuss whatever practical conclusions need to be made.

#1) The Restoration of BOTH houses of Israel in the future (the Messianic redemption or the Ingathering of the Exiles) (Ezekiel 37:15-28) when the house of Israel (The Ten Lost Tribes) join themselves to / with the house of Judah in the end of days.

Recently, I ordered from Brit-Am and read the first three issues of the MAGAZINE BRIT-AM. The articles and the information in the magazine was OUTSTANDING.

It is VITAL in these days in which we live to understand that the belief in the restoration of both houses of Israel / Messianic Redemption / Ingathering of the Exiles and the reuniting of Ephraim (Ten Lost Tribes) with Judah and Ephraim returning to Torah is a fundamental and foundational belief of Orthodox Judaism. It is one of the 13 articles of Jewish faith and a prayer for the Messianic Redemption / Restoration of both houses of Israel is prayed THREE times a day by Orthodox Jews.

I would HIGHLY recommend that our newsgroup members subscribe to the Brit-Am magazine to gain a greater understanding of Orthodox Jewish belief regarding this issue. In a recent edition of the magazine, Brit-Am stated that they have come to the conclusion that the primary religion of the Ten Lost Tribes today is Christianity.

Note: "THY STRANGER THAT IS IN THY CAMP" From the very beginning they had people of foreign non-Israelite origin with them. These had the same rights and the same obligationsas anyone else.

"INTO ANOTHER LAND" = THE "NEW WORLD" = AMERICA = LOCATION PREDICTED TO BE THE PLACE OF THE LOST TEN TRIBES!

It was predicted that if Israel did not keep the commandments they would be cast out into an "Eretz Acheret" which is translatable from the Hebrew as meaning both "another land" (Deuteronomy 29;28*q) and/or a "New World". The Mishna (Sanhedrin 10) opines that the verse in Deuteronomy refers to the Lost Ten Tribes who are destined to remain in "Eretz Acheret" until close to the End Times. The American hemisphere when first revealed in our era to European eyes was known as "The New World"*r. Deuteronomy (29;28) and the Mishna, may be therefore understood as saying that the Lost Ten Tribes would be mainly in "The New World" (i.e. "Eretz Acheret") after its discovery (or re?discovery) by Europeans since only then did the term become applicable. It follows that either North or South America was intended as a place of exile and all other evidence points to Northwest Europe and North America.

[ISA 2:5] O HOUSE OF JACOB, COME, LET US WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THE LORD.

Jacob stands for Israel. When Jacob is juxtaposed with Israel Jacob means Judah but Jacob stands alone it often refers to the Ten Tribes.

Jack and James are forms of the name Jacob. The Union Jack is the flag of Britain. The King James Bible (as pionted out by Dempsey Brutton) is the major Bible in use. Jamestown was the first settlement in America. The word "Yank" is also a form of Jacob.

[ISA 2:16] AGAINST ALL THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH, AND AGAINST ALL THE BEAUTIFUL CRAFT.

"Tarshish" can refer to the Atlantic Ocean area and to the USA as explained in "The Tribes". Historically Tarshish was centred in Spain with colonies in Gaul and Britain. It was just past the Straits of Gibraltar and so the name (in Biblical exegesis) came to represent the whole Atlantic Ocean area and in a future sense Noth America. Just received an article from Gunnar Jeremia Gishron of Jerusalem. This article will appear in a coming issue of our magaine "Brit-Am". Gishron traces the dollar to a coin issued by a Swedish monarch. The original coin included the name of God in Hebrew and the motto in Swedish "In God WE Trust"! Later Spanish adapted the coin and the USA took it from the Spanish. The Spanish version bore Heraldric sign of the Spanish Royal family and represented the two pillars of Hercules at Gibraltar. These pillars gave rise to the dollar "$" symbol! The ancient northern Israelites (LTTS) wrote Hebrew interspersed with Egyptian-like hieroglyphics. In hieroglyphic system where we to use it today instead of writing "AMERICA" or the USA all the time we would substitute "$" as a hieroglyph representing the USA since this one sign could only in the context stand for the USA. This is the sign of Gibraltar, i.e. the sign of Tarshish. Isaiah (60;9) says that ships of Tarshish will be the leaders in returning the exiles.

There was a special on Nova ( a show on PBS) about the Lost Tribes. In it, they featured several peoples from China, Afghanistan, Japan, and Africa, who have distinctly Jewish customs. It was related that Shintoism in Japan resembles Judaism, and that artficats have been found in Japan that links the island to the Israelites. Many Japanese words are nearly identical to their Hebrew counterpart.

Also there was a section on a Scottish misisonary in the early 1900's who went to China, somwhere arund Tibet, and he found a  tribe of people who practiced ancient Jewish customs. Such as plowing with 2 oxes, rather than an ox and an ass. These people worshipped one god, and thier name for him resembled "yawei".

These are just a few of the examples, also featured was the Lemba Tribe of southern Africa, and the Falashas of Ethiopia.
 
Do you think the notion of these being descendants of Isarelites has any true merit?

On the whole NO!

In some cases groups of Jews or people who adopted Jewish customs and lore reached the above places.

In an upcoming issue of BRIT-AM magazine the case for Japan will be examined and we will explain why we reject it. What applies to Japan is pertinent to the others.

BRIT-AM has better evidence than the above cases and our beliefs are confirmed by the Bible. Nevertheless the media ignores us.
