To: heb_roots_chr@geocities.com From: brooks Subject: Is New Testament Scripture??? Dear Brother Eddie, I don't know if there is more to this than I just read, but you've deduced much more than what I did from what Craig was saying. I too was raised to believe in the inerrancy of the NT but as of late, much study suggests that the only inspired Scripture that we have proof of is the OT Scriptures. I understand the danger in just telling everyone that the NT has problems, but aren't there some discrepancies? Shalom B'Yeshua, Brooks From Eddie: ************** There is NO GENUINE contradictions if one takes the time and effort and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the understanding. There are APPARENT contradictions if you allow Satan to do what he did to Eve when he said, "Didn't God say ...". (Genesis 3:1) Satan's #1 weapon against the believer is to make them doubt the authority of God's written word. Once he begins to make you doubt God's Word, he can begin to use people to manipulate the understanding of the scripture in your mind so that you end up believing something thinking that it is Biblical when it is not. Some of the TRANSLATION of the scriptures from Greek to English has a anti-Torah slant but if you would open up your heart and allow the Holy Spirit to put the scripture in it's correct context, it will all make sense. Doubting God's Word brings darkness to our mind and spiritual understanding. Satan has many agents that he uses to bring doubt upon God's Word and MOST are NOT unbelievers either. They mask themselves as spokespeople of God's Word. Ephesians 4:14 speaks about not being swayed be every "wind of doctrine". Doubting that the NT is God's Word is one of these winds of doctrine. Regarding Craig, part of my response was based upon other conversations that I have had with him. He is a "B'nai Noah" follower. I have nothing personal against Craig. For the benefit of our many "babes" who are just beginning to examine their Hebraic/Jewish Roots, they need to understand that there is a "B'nai Noah" movement and what they believe. In case you don't know what "B'nai Noah" believe, they believe: #1) Jesus is not God #2) The NT is not inspired scripture #3) You are saved by faith AND works #4) You don't need to accept Jesus as Messiah to be saved Only a baby Christian unlearned in God's Word would consider that the above listed items are true. To a mature Christian rooted and grounded in God's Word, the above beliefs qualify as being a cult and a heresy. I urge you to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the truth of God's written Word. Eddie Chumney ***************************************************************************** From: John R To: heb_roots_chr@geocities.com Subject: Re: Is the New Testament Scripture ??? Eddie and Craig, Amen! The fact that Y'shua is the Messiah should in no way be belittled or understated. The Messiah is the Living Torah, is the promised King: He is a beacon of living light illuminating our path/walk to eternal life. His blood/life was poured out as the perfect/perpetual sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin. Yes, calling oneself a Christian and not believing Y'shua to be Messiah or not realizing what a key figure the Messiah is in both the Tanach and NT is delusion. Delusion does not have to be fatal though. The Messiah is available 24 hours a day and has been known to send the Holy Spirit when least expected. Thats why I pray to G-d every day for more understanding and insight into His holy Word and be abundantly blessed with the Holy Spirit. I still have my delusions, but am working/praying for them to be cleared up. From Paul: ************* What is happening? How can a person look at the NT and Jesus as the English translation calls Him. and say there no truth in His words. More people have heard His words and changed there lives than any other teaching in the world. drunkers have stop there drinking. Thelfs has stop stealing, Harlots have changed there way of life. Lives have changed to good productive lives than any other religious groups. You ask if the NT is the word of G-d. You doubt the words as being of G-d's mind. Untill you have had a personnel touch with Jesus Christ as your Lord. Then You will have problems of believing that He is the Son of G-d. the NT talks about the Grace of G-d Not the law of G-d. Yes the Commandments of the OT is in the new testament. Jesus Christ said that the Law was to Love G-d with all your heart and mind and soul. then love your neighbor as your self. and in these two laws are all the ten commandments. Noah laws was that the people would do these that they could live a productive life and live for G-d. Moses took the 7 laws of Noah and put 6 in the 10 commandments and one was in the 613 laws the laws of Noah did come down to Moses and on in the NT also. No one was able to keep the 613 laws of Moses. Today it still nearly impossible to keep the 613 laws. why becouse some of these laws were put there by man and a guide to live by. and today there some that people have problems with because it does not apply to the world today. example the distance you would travel on sab day. Yes the NT is an extention of the OT and the translation we have today are as close to the original as can be found we see this in the dead sea documents. I believe that Jesus is the Son of G-d no matter what man may say. G-d bless paul **************************************************************************
