Subject: Fwd: Notable Notes..THOU SHALT NOT KILL
Eddie,

Please see if someone from our network can answer this letter for me. I
received it from a good friend of mine and I don't know the answer to this
one. I told him when I got an answer, that I would certainly forward the
answer to him.

Todah Rabah,
Cheryl

From Psalm 1226

I am interested in the historical original of the Haggadah and the "Seder"
service contain therein. My understanding is that it dates roughly the 15th
century. I am confident you can confirm or further expound on this. I know
many that are operating under the false assumption that this Seder was
practice by Jesus. Can you help?
Thanks and God Bless

**************

Passover was celebrated prior to the 1st century. In order
to show how ignorant the statement and claim that the Passover Seder
dates roughly back to the 15th century, I would like to quote from a
modern Orthodox Jewish Passover Haggadah in the section "MAGGID"
in the subsection of MAGGID called 'Avadim Hayinu':

"It happened that Rabbi Eliezar, Rabbi Yehoshua, Rabbi Elazar ben
Azaryah, Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Tarfon were reclining at a Seder in
B'nai B'rak"

The Rabbi's mentioned above are rabbi's who were alive in the
years following the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E. It was an
B'nai B'rak following the destruction of the Temple that Judaism was
restructured into it's present form. Prior to the destruction of the
Temple, Judaism was primarily Aggadic (parable/story based). Later,
it was restructured to have an emphasis upon being (Halachic). Most of
the Rabbi's in the days of Yeshua/Jesus were Aggadic Rabbi's. After the
destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D., the rabbi's were mainly Halachic
Rabbi's and so it is today.

In Luke 22:14-15, Yeshua/Jesus said these words:

"And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles
with him. And he said unto them, with desire I have desired to eat
this PASSOVER with you before I suffer"

In Luke 22:17-18, it is written:

"And he took the CUP, and GAVE THANKS, and said ... for I say unto
you, I will not drink of the FRUIT OF THE VINE until the Kingdom of
God shall come".

There is ONLY ONE BLESSING over the CUP and it is as follows:

"Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheynu Melech HaOlam B'ray P'ri HaGafen"

Which translates as:

Blessed are you, O Lord our God King of the Universe who creates
the FRUIT OF THE VINE"

In Luke 22:19 it is written:

"And he took the BREAD and GAVE THANKS and broke it, and gave it unto
them ..."

There is ONLY ONE BLESSING of THANKS given over the bread. It is
as follows:

"Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheynu Melech HaOlam HaMotzi Lechem Min Ha
Aretz"

Which translates:

"Blessed are you, O Lord our God, King of the Universe who brings
forth the bread from the earth"

So, either by examining the scriptures themselves regarding the
"Last Supper" which was really a PASSOVER SEDER or by understanding
who the Rabbi's mentioned in the Orthodox Passover Haggadah are, it
can be seen that the Passover Seder has been observed by the
Jewish people for well over 2,000 years.
