Dear Earl,

Well, here goes.

First I suggest you get a copy of "In Search of Temple Treasures" by Dr.
Randall Price. Dr. Price devotes a chapter to "discoveries" such as these
by Ron Wyatt. The legitimate scholars and archeologists that I know and
have talked with in Israel totally discount the claims of Ron Wyatt. To
date I have not seen any evidence of any finds he has made. The photos
always come out underdeveloped or there is a bright light which obscures
the object or the camera fails or the governments won't let out any word of
the discoveries for security purposes, etc. Ron Wyatt is not an
archeologist he is an anesthetist. I find it interesting that he claims to
have found all the aritcles that have been searched for over many years by
great numbers of people.

If you will read Numbers 19:9 you will find that the Red Heifer was a
sacrifice for sin.....it was done in front of the altar at a "clean place
outside the camp". All sin sacrifices were in front of the altar.
Gordon's Calvary and the "Grotto of Jeremiah" are North and slightly to the
West of the Temple and altar. This is not a fit site for a sin sacrifice,
it is in the wrong location.

The Tabernacle and the Temple were given to us as a pattern of what is in
Heaven and a shadow of things to come. If all sacrifices were to take
place in a certain place then why would the ultimate sacrifice be at a
different location? The site of the crucifixion had to take place near
the top of the Mt. of Olives to fulfill the ritual regarding the sacrifices.

It is my hope that Mr. Wyatt is simply wrong in his conclusions and
exhuberance, not as some others suggest.

Shalom,

Randy Felton
