From: Philip Nowland Subject: Temple Mount Location To: <heb_roots_chr@geocities.com> Shalom to you all Last year or so, the Israeli's opened a tunnel that led away from the Al Aksah Mosque and did not lead anywhere near to the Dome of the Rock than its own entrance. Thus the tunnel actually made no impact geographically on either of these two sites on Mount Moriah (Temple Mount) that are revered by Muslims. A simple straight forward non threatening act - we might say. What happened? A MINI WAR............! With dozens of dead on both sides. In such a context it seems unlikely that any attempt to build the Third Temple on, or anywhere near, Mount Moriah, would be a peacefull exercise! Have anyone of you noticed this little Gem of information? ........... It is generally accepted that the period of Gentile control of the City of Jerusalem commenced with the capture of the city by Nebuchudnezzar in 586 BCE, while it is generally deemed to have ended in 1967 CE, with the capture of the city by IDF forces. A quite long period - of 2552 years to be precise (allowing for the deletion of one year, when converting from BCE dates to CE dates. Any significance....(you might ask)? Well....what is the date that is slap bang in the middle of this long period - i.e. the lowest spot in this long period of gentile domination of the city? Well 691 CE of course. That is 1967 + 586 = 2553 (minus 1 for BC/BCE conversion) - thus 2552. Divide by 2 = 1276 (the half way point). Then delete 1276 from 1967 CE to get to 691CE. Thus 691 CE is the middle year of this long period of Gentile control of the City of Jerusalem. WHAT HAPPENED IN 691CE? The Completion of the Building of the Dome of the Rock! Check your history books. So what is the Dome of the Rock? It is the expression of the lowest point in the Gentile Domination of the City of Jerusalem. I somehow think that Satan is going to become a little agitated if anyone tried to move it. Don't you? Having been to Jerusalem myself, and having stood many times on the Temple Mount, when leading Tour Parties, I often point out that the Dome of the Rock may not actually be built on the very place - down to the very metre of the 1st and 2nd Temples, but it is pretty near to close. There is a very large area of space all around it. Somewhare in this large area of space around the Dome of the Rock was the site of the 1st and 2nd Temples. I think that if any one tried to put the 3rd Temple on the actual site of the 1st and 2nd - the Muslims are quite likely to notice it! Now they get pretty agitated if you so much as pray in a small group anywhere in that space. And, if they got so upset about that little tunnel - what will they do if someone tries to build a Temple alongside the Dome of the Rock? I think that it could be a bumpy ride! They are waiting for the red Hiefer's ashes. If this cow they have now is the one we'll know by next August, which is when she'll be ready for sacrifice. My understanding is that in order to start up the sacrifical system all that is really needed is the tabernacle. Consider that the tabernacle is mobile and easy to move in it's orininal set up. Are we looking in the wrong direction when we think Temple? Baruch HaShem, Sara **********************************************************************
