Want to give the Halacha on polygamy (multiple wives) while we are on
the subject?

Then why were men allowed to have more than one wife? If God had
joined husband and wife to become one, then why was it an acceptable
practice for a man to have several wives? Wasn't this going against
the laws of the Almighty? What about the concubines and maid servants
that had children by their masters, such as King Solomon? Was it
simply a matter of wealth, that if you could afford more than one
wife, you were allowed to married repeatedly? Was this an attempt to
stop divorce?

Shalom alechim James Trimm

I see only one problem in your reasoning, that you did not consider
the very real possibility of Polygamy making divorce unnecessary in
most cases. And as to your fornication by taking more than one wife
that is not a legitimate accusation for fornication is sex outside of
marriage so marriage to more than one allows sex with more than one
inside of G-ds plan. As to the two becomming one flesh the word used
there l believe is Echad, HaShem is also Echad and still composed of
at least 3 parts is He not?? If one does the research on the matter
one will find that there is NO prohibition of polygamy though there
are some very strong cautions and even some discourageing words about
it(I believe this is because of the difficult task of keeping multiple
wives happy and secure). This is not written to attempt to change
your mind or your doctrine only to give you more to consider. over
all l have really enjoyed your works now and it the past.
