Shalom,
I had a wonderful revelation ... not unique to others, just to me. I am
tired of hearing "christians" argue that Christianity must be correct,
because G-d would not let H-s people continue to practice pagan ways!
Well, if you agree, then perhaps you should consider reading the book of
Nehemiah! What strikes me is chapter 8. This chapter describes the
returning to the "truth." Consider the timing, they are
rediscovering the activities on the High Holy Days.
8:2 And Ezra the priest brought the law (TORAH) before the
congregation both of men and women, and all that could
hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh
	    month.
What a great way to start the New Year!
8:3 ... and the ears of all the people were attentive to the
	    book of the law.
But wait, they later go on to re-discover the joy of Succoth
8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out
of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for
since the days of Joshua the son of Nun unto that day had
not the children of Isreal done so. And there was very
	     great gladness.
And why not? In about 450 years Yeshua would come and be born in a booth!
Now, the days of Joshua son of Nun would be 1450 B.C.E. while the date
for the building of the wall (Nehemiah) would be 450 B.C.E.
So what is the basis for my argument, and the basis of my personal (eye
opening understanding) revelation? The feasts and festivals, as Eddie
teaches, which include Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, and the other appointed
times are whose? They are G-d's! When we "REFUSE" to keep them, we are
mocking G-d! We are saying we do not care what the OLD testament teaches,
these times are not for us! They are ancient practices that have lost
their meaning.
	Leviticus 23:4
These are the feasts of the L-rd, even holy convocations
which ye shall proclaim in their season.
Believers, have since the 3rd century (C.E.) compromised their faith. We
have allowed our faith and our teachings to be corrupted! Will our eyes
be open in our time? Will we mourn, as did the people in Nehemiah,
because we have forsaken the foundation of our faith - the divine
instructions? Will change be too inconvenient? So, will we continue in our
blatant disregard for the teachings of YWH?
I am not looking for HaMashiach, He has already come! I am hoping and
praying for shalom. I am hoping and praying for the temple to be rebuilt.
I am hoping and praying for believers who love G-d to allow the Ruach
HaKodesh to establish H-s kingdom in their hearts! Let us return to our
roots, which will not forsake us.
