Subject: Teshuvah Generation

Eddie,

My purpose in writing this is not to incite controversy. Neither is this
meant to be presented in a prophetic, "Thus saith the L-rd." I am simply
writing this with a desire to exhort and see believers excited about the
return of the Son of David so much the more as we, "see the day
approaching."

All good gifts come from the Father and it's the greatest gifts that suffer
the greatest conflict by Ha Satan. The greatest Gift of G-d is the first
and second coming of His Son. Throughout church history, every revival
has been accompanied with the declaration of Messiah's return and holy
lifestyles. Likewise, the neglect to preach His return has resulted in
believers losing their love for Jesus and falling into sin.

Their is a strong correlation between looking for the appearing of the Son
of G-d and a desire for a holy lifestyle (Titus 2:11-15; 1 John 3:2-3). As
with the teaching of the coming of Messiah, neither is the teaching of
holiness a popular subject.

So here is my opinion, which is no better than anyone else who diligently
studies the Bible. Let it not be said that I am predicting anything except
the eventual compete fulfillment of the sacred Word of G-d.

There are forty days of Teshuvah and forty years to a biblical generation
(Num 32:13; Deu 2:14; Psa 95:10; Heb 3:9-10). The fortieth day of Teshuvah
ends on Yom Kippur, the moed for the second coming of King Jesus. The
thirtieth day of Teshuvah falls on Rosh HaShannah, the moed for the natzal
of the bride. Those who are not understanding my very brief sketch of the
festivals, need to read Eddie's book on the seven festivals. It is
foundational for what I am presenting.

Israel is the fig tree (Hos 9:10) and the olive tree (Psa 52:8; Jer
11:16-17; Hos 14:5-6; Rom 11). Jesus promises that the generation that sees
the fig tree begin to form branches and leaves, also sees the fulfillment
of His return (Mat 24:32-34; Mark 13:28-30; Luke 21:29-32). It during the
time that the fig tree puts forth figs that Jesus calls His love away. "The
fig tree putteth forth her green figs... Arise, my love, my fair one, and
come away." Song 2:13 Come away is yalak, which means to vanish.

Some may say, "It has already been 40 years since the fig tree has formed
branches." Yes, I remember 88 reasons why Jesus was to return in 1988. The
generation could not have begun in 1948 because God includes the holy city
Jerusalem with the nation of Israel.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy
city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and
to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Therefore, the forty year Teshuvah generation could not begin at least
until Jerusalem was captured, or sometime thereafter. Only the Father knows
the day and the hour the generation begins, but eventually, everyone will
know. This is one reason I wanted to wait until after Rosh HaShannah of
1997 so that someone couldn't say I was predicting this 30th Rosh HaShannah
since Israel captured Jerusalem. I am anticipating the arrival of King
Jesus, not a date on a calendar.

The wrath of G-d kept a generation of Israelites from entering G-d's rest
(Heb 3:7-11). Today is the only generation that sees both the fig tree
putting forth leaves and year 6000. I believe there has been ample
discussion on the days of creation, the seventh day rest and millennial
reign of King Jesus. Eddie, you have a page that you may wish to give the
link for those who need further Scripture and study. You give a very lucid
description of this so I will not take the time to delve into this here.

Jacob's Trouble is also the day of God's wrath (Rev 6:16-17; Rev 14:10; Rev
15:1; Rev 16:1). There is a day of rest that still remains for mankind to
enter which God's wrath will keep every unrepentant soul from entering the
Sabbath day's rest (Heb 4:1-8).

Teshuvah is the season of repentance. This generation could be called the
Teshuvah Generation where mankind needs repentance in order enter the day
of rest. The wrath of G-d will keep the unrepentant souls from entering His
rest.

Some time ago, before I had any understanding of the festivals or the
season of Teshuvah, I heard of this vision. I have unsuccessfully tried to
relocate the source except that it was in a prophetic newsletter. The
vision began with 30 days of the shofar blowing before the rapture. The
thirtieth day, the bride of Christ began her assent into the clouds. Some
were only able to ascend a few feet before the cares of this world pull
them back to earth. The believers not assending repented and then some
could resume there assention to meet Him in the air.

It is hard to fathom the reactions and emotions that would exist if the
rapture is preceded by a literal 30 days of the shofar being blown from
heaven. There would be a unprecedented Teshuvah! It would be a season of
repentance like one that has never been nor will ever be again. Think of
the boldness there would be in sharing the Gospel and the need for everyone
to repent and get right with G-d.

The sound of the shofar could possibly be as Daniel's vision (Dan 10).
Daniel heard a voice from heaven while those around him saw nothing. Only
those that would be raptured hear the trumpets. There would be no need to
have someone shouting, "Awake, awake," because everyone hearing the trumps
would be awake. I think I personally would find it difficult to sleep for
thirty days, knowing that in a few days my faith will become sight!

This also is NOT a "thus sayeth the Lord". It is just food
for thought. IF 1967 began the "Teshuvah Generation" then the
"Teshuvah Generation" would end in 2007.

There are several consecutive seven year periods mentioned in
the Bible. Jacob served seven years for Leah and then seven years for
Rachel. (Genesis 29:15-30). This is associated with a BRIDE for
Jacob.

Pharoah has a dream that Joseph interpreted that consisted of
two consecutive seven year periods. The first was prosperous and the
second was lean. (Genesis 41:15-32).

Joseph (a type of the Messiah) revealed himself to his
brothers (a type of the Jewish people) during the SECOND seven year
period.

Did the "peace and security" agreement (Declaration of
Principles) signed between the PLO and Israel on Sept 1993 introduce
a seven year period (1993-2000) which sets up another seven year
period (2001-2007) which concludes the 40 years for the "Teshuvah"
generation (1967-2007) ???

Only time will tell but things in the Middle East are near
a breaking point and the significance of these events to the rest of
the world will be ENORMOUS.

Let us continue to be WATCHMAN upon the walls!
