To: heb_roots_chr@geocities.com From: pottersclay@mail.icnet.net (Randy Felton) Subject: Re: The 7 and 9 Branch Menorah Dear Eddie, Greetings in the name of Yeshua as we enter a new civil year. Eddie, you might want to point out to the readers that since the destruction of the Temple, there is no proper use for the Menorah (7 branches). You will see them and occasionally find them for sale, but they are decorations. The Chanukiah(9 branches)is still used as a celebration of Chanukah. There is also a distinctive pattern to be followed in the construction of the Menorah. The Chanukiah takes many varied forms including being lit by electric lights which would not be allowed for the Menorah in the Temple. Two different candlesticks for two different purposes. Both teach about the light of Messiah and His precepts. Shalom, Randy Felton **********************************************************************
