To: heb_roots_chr@geocities.com From: Manuel Torres Subject: Let The Fear Of God Reign! Let the Fear of God Reign! My beloved friends I pray that these scriptures will bring light to how the world runs when YahwehÆs people are in charge and teaching the Laws and words of G_d. Prov 28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. (2 Chr 17:3- 11) And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim; But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel. Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance. And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah. And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests. And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people. And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat. Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats. In these scriptures we can see that the king followed in the ways and commandments of Yahweh and not in the things that were detestable to the Lord. In so doing the Lord blessed them and established the kingdom, "And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat" The enemies feared the Lord! They even feared the nation of Judah and itÆs king! This was the example that the Lord our G_d wanted Israel to be to all the surrounding gentiles nations so that the fear of the Lord would be upon all the nations, then righteousness, truth, mercy, kindness, love, and all the fruits of the spirit would prevail and cover the whole earth. The book of Judges shows us when Israel obeyed G_d how they prospered and prevailed over the enemies, but soon after they forgot their G_d and sinned against the Lord then evil and wickedness would rein over the nations. In Romans chapter 2:17-22, Paul writes to us that the Jews of his time bragged and boasted that they had the Laws and the Truth, they considered themselves to be guides to the blind, those who instructed the foolish, and taught about keeping the commandments, not to steal, adultery, idolatry and the such. Yet they themselves kept not the Law or followed after the Words of Jesus! What a shame this was to G_d, His very own chosen people not allowing his Laws to do the very thing they were suppose to do, not to mention the people around them did not get to know the true G_d, "(Rom 2:23-24 KJV) Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? {24} For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written." The gentiles were not given a chance to know G_d and therefore spoke in vain of Him. The example was not there, why? Jesus tells us why. (Mat 15:3,8-9 KJV) "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?à{6} Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. {8} This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. {9} But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Sin made the word of God of no effect! It made it so that the Jews along with the gentiles could not arrive at the Messiah YESHUA! If only they would of obeyed and practiced the commands and the Law then lawlessness and wickedness would have no chance to blossom and grow. The Jews would of known the Messiah and the Gentiles would want to know him to! The Love of Yeshua would rein in the earth. Mat 9:36-38 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Friends and co-workers in Christ, the harvest truly is ready and is plentious, and the laborers are truly needed. LetÆs see the world as Jesus saw it that day as he wept for humanity, and letÆs get to work in harvesting of souls. Our world right now needs salvation, it needs to have wickedness and sin put in itÆs place. Yeshua has given us the opportunity to establish the fear of the Lord on Earth, by obey him in all things, by following his footsteps of sacrificing ourselves for His kingdom which we are partakers of. By doing this the kingdom is sure to come and the peace that Jerusalem has awaited for will surely come. We have a part in bringing it to past let us take action! In the recent weeks IÆve seen many letters regarding the holiday seasons and the keeping of it. I donÆt want to condemn anyone, I to kept these days in ignorances and by the Grace of God I live! However, if I continued to keep them after knowing that they have nothing to do with the Savior I would become as those Pharisees that made God Laws void and of no effect. Then the people would blaspheme God because of me. As they are today. We need to set the example once we know, not for our salvation but for the salvation of many others who would be cheated of knowing the God of Israel. Imaging if Abraham kept the pagan worships of his native land, the promises would not have been given. If Ruth did not forsake all for the God of Israel, Yeshua would of not descended from her. If Jesus would of gave in when he asked the Father to take the cup from Him, we would had to serve the adversary. LetÆs forsake all sin, idolatry of all kinds, lawlessness and rebellion to GodÆs way. Once we set our hearts and mind to do this everyone around us will want to know the things we do and why. Our love ones will come to Yeshua, our neighbors and our worst enemies will come to worship the TRUE and ONLY GOD, JEHOVA/YESHUA. Let the Laws of God do their job in showing us the many sins we need cleansing of, then let Yeshua cleanse us with His sacrifice for our redemntion; let the Spirit lead and show us the true Way! May Yeshua be our strength to depart from sinÆs way and on to His way The only Way! Peace be with you. Manuel ************************************************************************
