Does it mean Messiah or Jesus or some other reference for God. Paul >From Eddie: ************** Paul, HaShem means "the name". Ha in Hebrew means "The". Shem in Hebrew means "Name". HaShem is another name which refers to God. Baruch HaShem means "Blessed be the name" Baruch HaShem Adonai means "Blessed be the name of the Lord" Baruch HaShem Adonai Eloheynu means "Blessed be the name of the Lord our God" In Luke 13:34-35, Yeshua/Jesus said: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee: how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when you shall say, BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD" Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord is: Baruch Haba HaShem Adonai In the Jewish wedding, when the groom approaches the chuppah, these words are said: "Blessed is he who comes". In the book, "Made in Heaven" by Orthodox Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan, he explains that this is actually an idiomatic expression which means "welcome". So, when Yeshua/Jesus said you will not see me (again) until you say, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord", this is actually "wedding talk" and a Hebraic way of saying, "Welcome!". Yeshua/Jesus said that He will not return back to the earth at his second coming until He is welcomed as the bridegroom and His people are crying out for Him to return and be married to His people !!! Baruch HaShem !!!!! ************************************************************************
