Shalom Linda

A reading of Romans 11:11-16 would be wise in this context:

Rom 11:11-16
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But
through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the
Gentiles.
Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the
Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I
magnify my ministry, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are
my flesh and save some of them.
For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will
their acceptance be but life from the dead?
For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is
holy, so are the branches. (NKJ)

I see a direct relationship between the discovery by many people of the
Hebraic Roots of their Christian faith, and the fact that many who are
Jewish by birth are coming to know Yeshua as their Messiah. There can be no
coincidence in this.

I am not saying that the Hebraic Roots movement is a fulfilment of Biblical
prophecy. But it is part of an end time movement of the Holy Spirit to bring
people to a clear faith in Yeshua. This applies both to Jews and to
Gentiles.

Some years ago, I preached a sermon, in which I attacked the rise of
replacement theology in the modern Christian churches, and pointed out that
the so called Restoration Movement, was likely to mistake their own ideas of
truth for that of the Scriptures. In this sermon I distinctly remember
stating that I predicted that one of the final things that the Church would
see restored to them, among the truths that had been abandoned in its
earlier history, would be the Jewishness of its Doctrine and Practice. I
remember receiving some criticism after that sermon from some who were
present. Yet today, I see that what I said is most likely coming to pass.

We are not only going to see many non-Jewish believers discovering the
Hebraic Roots of our Faith, but we should also see many Jews coming to know
Yeshua as their Messiah. Does that mean they are going to be converted to
the Christian church? ............ No way! We make big mistakes by
perceiving the Christian church as distinct from a Hebraic understanding of
faith.

But Paul did say that when Gentiles respond correctly to the Scripture, it
is likely to provoke Jews to jealousy, and they would in tern return to the
correctness of their faith.

Believers are being called to a life of holiness, where we are to seek first
the kingdom of God and His righteousness. The so-called church, if it fails
to respond to that call to holiness, and abandon its desire for materialism
and power, will be swept away. But, this is not something that we should
look forward to as some end time event to be observed. We should begin the
work in our hearts now. It is wrong to look for a revival around the corner,
but it is right to apply the Scriptures to my life now - that is real
revival.

One of the purposes of the Hebraic Roots movement, is to follow the
Scriptures and apply them to our lives in such a way that Jewish people
meeting us would be provoked to jealousy.

THEN WILL COME - LIFE FROM THE DEAD!

Yours in Yeshua's name

I have done a couple of Assignments on the 'Separation of the Church
and the Jews' (including Jewish believers in Yeshua). They are
basically historical in content rather than Biblical, as I had to do
them as University assignments. Also, they are lengthy. Because
several people have requested them, I will be adding them to my
website in about a week. They will be titled, "The History of
Antisemitism in the Church".
