From: Ronnie Anderson To: heb_roots_chr@geocities.com Subject: Man becoming god > >Is there any evidence in the torah that man will eventually become god? > >From Eddie: ************** Absolutely not! This is the GREAT LIE of the enemy. It was Hasatan himself who first desired to be god / like god. In Isaiah 14:12-15 it is written: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, the son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart .. *I* will exalt my throne above the stars of God: *I* will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north *I* will ascend above the heights of the clouds; *I* will be LIKE THE MOST HIGH Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit" HaSatan tried to convince Eve to believe this SAME LIE that man will become as god. In Genesis 3:4-5 it is written: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God does know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be *as gods* knowing good and evil" > >Is this form of teaching have it's origin in pagan worship ? > Absolutely! It goes as far back as the original rebellion in heaven by Hasatan himself who desires to be as/like God. The "New Age" believes that man can become god also. So, this "New Age" belief is not really 'new age' at all but is in reality as "old as the hills". ***********************************************************************
