I was blessed to be able to conduct two Passover Seder's this
year. The first was with my church fellowship. We had about 25 people
attend including a man who came to the event from the Cayman Islands
and three people from Kentucky from the newsgroup. I wish more people
from the newsgroup could have been to our Seder! Our newsgroup friends
from Kentucky traveled about 6 hours to come to the Seder! Blessed are
those who HUNGER and THIRST for the things of God!

This past weekend, I did a Seder for another newsgroup member
(John Mathis) and his fellowship group in Atmore, Alabama. John owns an
AM radio station. It is: 1620 AM.

On May 1, John is planning on going on the air with his FM
station. The FM station will be 90.9.

I was really blessed to be able to spend fellowship time with
John. John is a most humble servant of the great God of Israel.  God
had put a desire on John's heart to use his radio station to TEACH
HEBRAIC ROOTS (now how many radio station in the country is doing
that?). Through this network, we have some OUTSTANDING Hebraic
teachers and ministries. It is John's desire and my desire to see some
of these teachings be aired on his radio station.

John has even asked me to teach the information in my two books,
"The Seven Festivals of the Messiah" and "Who is the Bride of
Christ?" in a weekly series on his radio station in addition to my
Hebraic Roots study series "Line upon Line".  I can truly say, 'The
Lord is good and His mercy endures forever!'.

John also desires to air Hebraic Roots teachings from his radio station
on the Internet. John wants these teachings connected to our network!
Some somebody give me a shout?

I pray that when we get all of these things in place that
members of this newsgroup will support John's radion ministry to the
body of Messiah. TOGETHER, we can get the message of the importance of
embracing our Hebraic roots to many others. Please keep John and his
radio ministry in your prayers. I will be writing to you with more
information and more details about this endeavor in the future.

So, this year's Passover season was a real blessing to me! Baruch
HaShem!

I have been driving my family crazy since about January 1998 with the
Hebrew Roots talk. I had hoped to attend a Church sponsored
observance,  but that didn't work out. So Thursday night I decided
that I could  "make due" and have a remembrance with just my husband
and children.

I was up late, digging into the Internet and looking at the old
emails from the group. On Friday I shopped and prepared. I had wanted
to do it on Friday night, but since I hadn't told my husband about
it, I waited till Saturday. Much to my surprise he was very
supportive.

I was blessed by my children and husband willingness to participate
in  God's plan in a different way than most Southern Baptist observe.
My children questioned why they were to wear their shoes to the
dinner table. Every one was attentive and asked questions as we
observed and had the meal.

That night I felt a completeness, almost a fullness, the hunger that
I  have had for the understanding of Hebrew Roots had been fulfilled
for the moment.  My husband shared that he too was blessed.

We may have not done all the steps completely, but I didn't want this
year to pass without our family observing the Passover Lamb.

If it hadn't been for the Hebrew Roots and the emails (that I look
for daily) our family would not have had the blessings that we have
had this Resurrection season. Thank you.

In His Name,

Karen Lombard

My family experienced our first Passover seder this year at our
Baptist church in Imboden, Ar.  I was priviledged to help prepare for
it. Congregation B'rit Hadasha in Memphis, TN was gracious to send us
a couple to lead us through it.  (They drove over 2 hours to get
here.)  It was great for us and our church.  We heard such positive
and supportive comments afterwards; my children are still talking
about it.  There are even church members who want to visit the
congregation in Memphis as a result.

Though Heb. Roots wasn't really the inspiration for our seder,  it has
certainly added to our knowledge and understanding of our need for it.

Blessings,
Jean and Larry

Dear Eddie and Rooters,

In response to your invitation I just wanted to share how blessed we
were at passover this year. A woman I had never met nor heard of,
rang me on the phone and invited my family and myself to a passover
seder she was holding in her home in a small country town in
Australia, which is reasonably close to my own town. This woman had
heard of me via a friend of hers who I had spoken to on the phone who
had heard about me via another person who had heard of me via her
sister who is a member of the Newsgroup. As you can see the Newsgroup
is an incredibly far reaching and a powerful tool in bringing together
in fellowship those who are studying and applying the Hebraic heritage
of their faith. To quote a new friend we met that night, who contacted
me afterward " It was wonderful to meet you all last evening. We look
forward to some wonderful times of fellowship, friendship and learning
in the future". This was a real answer to prayer as in the past we had
celebrated passover on our own  (just the 3 of us) at home, isolated
as we are geographically from others who keep the feasts. This is a
short testimony to Gods faithfulness and the effectiveness of this
Newsgroup.

Shalom Leonie

This was the first year me & my son has done Passover Seder & since he
is only 3 years old I thought he wouldn't get much out of it.  But he
listened pretty well.  The evidence was remarkable as after talking
about the Lamb of G-d who was represented by the shankbone & the egg
representing mounring & rejoicing my son said," Mommy, I'm sad that
Jesus died."  From the mouth of babes. huh.  We are defintely doing
this every year.

This was our first year ever to have a passover meal and teaching on
the feast of passover in our church . I want to thank you for your
book on the festivals. I led my sunday school class and others through
the sedder and it was great . We would like to also observe the feast
of pentecost. Could you please give some suggestion on what to eat at
this feast and some reasons why these foods are to be served. I am
excited to here from you.

I praise God that Passover was a blessing to you!

One of the themes of Shavuot / Pentecost is the "Revelation
of God at Mount Sinai". Shavuot / Pentecost celebrates the betrothal
marriage contract that God made with the nation of Israel. Every
Jewish wedding will have a Ketubah.  A Ketubah is the marriage
contract. It states the terms and conditions of the marriage and the
obligations of the bride and groom to each other. In Jeremiah 2:2-3,
it tells us that God betrothed Himself to Israel at Mount Sinai. The
Ketubah (marriage contract) was seen as being the Torah. Shavuot
celebrates the receiving of the "milk" of God's Word. For this
reason, it is traditional to partake of dairy products at this time
of year.
