Dear Ned

Here is one I found and think is quite good, as I have studied this
topic for quite awhile. It is facinating and also a much needed
subject to know to see how it all points to us and our relationship to
our Messiah.

TEACHING FROM THE TABERNACLE by Roy Lee DeWitt
and  THE TEMPLE by Edersheim is also an excellent book on the
Temple.

Anita

Dear Ned,

You inquired about books regarding the symbolism of the Temple.  There
is a wonderful, wonderful book entitled, "The Temple, Its Symbolism
and Meaning Then and Now," by Joshua Berman, Aronson publishers, ISBN
1-56821-415-4.

It is a Jewish book and author, therefore Yeshua is not the focus of
the symbolism.  However, if you read the book from a Messianic
perspective, all of a sudden it comes alive with how each and every
one of the symbolisms was fulfilled in Yeshua Messiah.  It's fantastic
and opens up an expanded awareness and understanding that reveals the
reasons why Yeshua did certain things, that without the Jewish
perspective, may have left the readers with questions.

In His Precious Name,

Ned,

I've recently purchased "The Tabernacle: Shadows of the Messiah" by
David M. Levy.  It's a very good book.  It can be purchased from
Messianic Jewish Resources 1-800-410-7367.

Also recommended reading are some excellent papers Mark Wilson (a
member of the news group) has sent me.  Ned, if you'll email me at
paul.a.lasarge@boeing.com I'll try to hook you up with Mark.

Shalom,
Paul

Ned,

I have found the following two books helpful:

THE TABERNACLE OF ISRAEL- by James Strong. ISBN# 0-8254-3745-8
(paperback)

THE HOLY VESSELS AND FURNITURE OF THE TABERNACLE-by Henry W. Soltau
(small hardback-good colored drawings) ISBN# 0-8254-3707-5

Note: Christian Book Distributers has discounts on Temple books -many
by Alfred Edersheim (THE TEMPLE AND IT'S SERVICES) -  if I had the
money, I'd purchase his books next. (I am not an employee of CBD-just
like to save money where I can)

I have read the book, "Solomon's Temple" by Kevin Conner. It is
also very good.
