Dear  Heather,

In response to your inquiry I have a book called,
"These are the Garments" by C.W. Slemming.

It's a study of the High Priest's garments. In dealing with the stones
he lists them in this order,

Jasper-Naphtali

I hope this bit of information is helpful. The publisher of the
book is:

There are several books on this subject.  Two that I have used are The
Tabernacle of Israel by James Strong and Teaching from the Tabernacle
by Roy Lee DeWitt.  Dr. Miryam Brit-Hargis has also recently written a
book, for more information on her book you can go to her son's Web
site- Messianic bureau, - http://www. messianic. com. I hope this
informaiton is useful to you.

Heather,

Based on my study so far, the stones in the breastplate of the
high priest did correspond to the 12 tribes of Israel.

Moreover, the Urim and the Thummin is a fascinating study although
there is very little in the way of published research other than a book
pubished last year called the Urim and the Thummin (I forget the subtitle.)
It was used when the high priest needed to inquire of God regarding a
matter. See Exodus 28:15.  Here are some example of its use.

David gets answers from the priest, Abiathar in I Samuel 22:20-23;
David inquires of the Lord whether or not to pursue in a battle I Samuel 30:7,8
and the Lord instructs Moses to have Joshua stand before the high priest to
obtain decisions before the Lord, Numbers 27:21.

I hope this is helpful!

Dear Eddie

Heather Montalbano enquired regarding the stones on the High Priest
Breastplate and I have been blessed to read Gwen Shaw's book entitled
"The Tribes of Israel".  In this book she goes into a detailed
explanation of each tribe and has also given detailed reports of the
12 stones on the breastplate.  This book is obtainable from Engeltal
Press in Texas.

Blessings
Rennetta
