Subject: Satanic Celebration not fit for Christians, The truth shall
set you free...
Why do Christians continue to join in HALLOWEEN activities? Some think, oh,
is harmless holiday just full of candy and some pranks and general fun.
However, if you trace the roots of Halloween you will find you were deceived.
Nov 1 is all Saints Day. Practiced by the Catholic Church. Hollow's eve or
Samhain, pronounced Sah-ween. Is the day before. The Druids, who believed
that on that evening Saman (the Lord of the Dead) called his evil spirits
forth. The Druids lit great fires in hopes of warding off these evil spirits.
It was also the ending of the Celtic year. This was considered to be a
favorable time for omens. The Celtic's also believe that the dead revisited
their earthly homes on that evening. In Scotland and Ireland Halloween
predates Christianity. In trying to draw the Celts into Christianity, many of
their beliefs were incorporated in to this day. In the 9th century All Saints
day was changed from May 13th to November the 1st to help in this cause.
Parallels were drawn between fairies and fallen angels or devils. Druids came
to be considered evil and their gods as demonic. So this night became a night
of manifestations of evil.
The church failed in its attempt to stop pagan celebrations of Halloween. The
original meanings have been clouded or lost, but the actual methodology of
witchcraft and worship survives to this present day. In fact there is an
increasing fascination and acceptance of this form of religion as can be seen
by the success of movies and witchcraft and general interest in the occult.
Halloween has become the 2nd most money making holiday.
Black Cats
The black cat symbol of "tallsman" a witch derives his/her power.
Trick or Treat
It was believed that the dead spirits required food. So they would leave a
basket of food outside the door for the spirits. If no food or rotten food
was left then they believed the spirits would enter the house and take what
they wanted. It was during these time people would dress up as a witch or
ghost, etc., and exchanging tricks if no treats were left. Jack O' Lantern
Used to ward off the spirits.
Satan delights in mischief and tragedy, perverseness, evil either moral, or
spiritual wickedness.
Why as Christians would we want to take part in this holiday.
1 Thessalonians 5:22
abstain from all appearance of evil.
Ephesians 5:8,11
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as
children of light: Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. but
rather reprove them.
Why would you want to give place to the Satan:
He is not omnipresent (everywhere present)
nor is he omnipotent (all powerful), and he certainly not Omniscient (all
knowing) He is Not God.
Do not give place to the devil.
Do not take part in activities that make the enemy of God look harmless, fun,
and non threatening.
Halloween is growing in popularity while Christianity is being mock and turned
away from. Children are a Blessing from God and should not be turn over to be
apart ofthis holiday to give honor to the devil.
We need to separate ourselves from this holiday.
Gays get married on this day.
This is the witches biggest holiday.
Please pray. Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
