Subject: Chanukah and the Temple Mount Faithful
From
the Temple Mt. Faithful
The Torch of the Maccabees to the Temple Mount
"He who is with G--d will come with me"
On 7th December, the fourth day of the Feast of Hanukkah, the Temple Mount
and Land of Israel Faithful Movement in Israel will hold one of the most
unique events in the life of the holy land of Israel.
It is no accident that the Faithful Movement decided to march to the Temple
Mount in Jerusalem during this Feast. The Feast of Hanukkah symbolizes the
faithfulness of the Israeli nation to the G--d of Israel and to His House in
Jerusalem. It was in the year 165 BCE that the Hellenistic Seleucids who
occupied the land of Israel decided to force their pagan religion on the
Israeli nation. The Hellenists wanted to completely destroy the Jewish
faith and make the Jews become a part of the Hellenistic faith and culture.
They placed a pagan idol in the Holy of Holies of the Temple in Jerusalem.
They then brought their idols to the cities and villages of the land
forcing the Jews to worship them and even to eat pork. When they did this
it was only a question of a short time before the revolt started. When the
Seleucids came to the village of Modiin and put their idol in the midst of
the village, forcing the Jews to bow to the idol, the revolt broke out.
Mattathias, the High Priest, was the one who started the heroic revolt.
He destroyed the idol and called on the people in the village saying,
"Those who are with G--d will come with me." He and his five sons attacked
the Seleucid soldiers, defeated them, and liberated the village. Modiin was
a small village 25 miles from Jerusalem. When they liberated Modiin they
knew that it was the G--d of Israel Who had given them this big victory.
Immediately they decided to call on the people of Israel to join them and
to start the march of liberation to the focus of the land, the Temple Mount
and Jerusalem. Their main goal was to destroy the abominable idol which was
in the Holy of Holies, to purify the Temple, and to renew the pure worship
of the G--d of Israel. At the same time their goal was to liberate the
capital of Israel and all the rest of the land from the cruel anti-godly
control of the Seleucids. From this moment they started to defeat all the
forces that were sent against them. More and more Israelis joined them and
in guerilla battles the started the march to Jerusalem. Along the way they
defeated tens of thousands of Seleucid soldiers armed with all their strong
weapons, including elephants. It was a victory of a small minority against
a strong and large majority. They could feel the presence of G--d in all
their battles and activities and they knew that only with the G--d of Israel
had they became the victors.
When Mattathias died his eldest son, Judah, became the leader of the
revolt. He appeared as a mighty hero who defeated the imperial forces of
the Seleucids. He was the one to whom G--d gave the privilege of liberating
the Temple Mount and to purify the Temple. He also liberated Jerusalem and
again declared it the capital of a free Israel. He immediately decided to
reinstitute the worship of the G--d of Israel in the Temple. However only
sufficient consecrated olive oil for one day was found for the Menorah of
the Temple. The miracles which G--d had done for the Maccabees continued
here. The oil, which was sufficient for only one day, lasted for eight
days. The Maccabees and the Israelis immediately renewed the sacrifices and
instituted a holiday of eight days to commemorate the godly event. This
holiday became an important holiday in the life of the Jewish nation. Every
day they light another candle on the eight candled menorah of Hanukkah.
(There is a ninth candle which is called the "servant" and is used to light
the other eight candles.)
This is a holiday of thanksgiving and appreciation to the G--d of Israel.
The Jewish children were always brought up on the heroic spirit and
heritage of the Maccabees. It encouraged them while they were in exile not
to lose hope that one day G--d would bring them back to the Promised Land,
that He will rebuild the Temple, and would renew their free life in an
independent Israeli state.
The major miracles and victories which G--d gave to the Maccabees was an
example and inspiration for the Zionist movement and the modern state of
Israel to overcome so many enemies who tried from the first moment to
destroy the new state of Israel which G--d decided to found once again in
the Promised Land. Exactly as in the times of the Maccabees a small
minority, together with the G--d of Israel, defeated a large majority. The
G--d of Israel, Who again and again appears in the life of modern Israel, is
the reason that this small nation survives against so many enemies and
their allies all over the world. It is so clear, and we can see it daily,
that only the blind who prefer the materialistic idol of the Arab and
"Palestinian" enemies of Israel deny it. The G--d of Israel is determined to
be with the minority, Israel, and exactly as in the time of the Maccabees
defeat and reject the nations who want to destroy Israel. He is determined
to accomplish His plans together with Israel: to rebuild his House once
again on the Temple Mount, to redeem the people and the land of Israel, and
to bring Mashiach ben David for Israel and for all the nations.
The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement decided to serve G--d
and His redemption plans at this major time exactly as the Maccabees did.
We adopted their heritage which is an inspiration for us. Years ago we
started the march for the liberation of the Temple Mount and to encourage
and push the Israeli government to immediately remove the foreign pagan
Islamic worship from the Holy site of G--d, to purify the Temple Mount from
the shameful abomination and to do the main thing that G--d is expecting us
to do, namely, to rebuild His House, the Temple, and to renew the worship
of our One lovely G--d. This is a key event and is a condition for the other
major redemptional events.
Therefore, the Feast of Hanukkah is a unique time for us with deep meaning
and inspiration. On the morning of 7th December we shall start a march from
the tombs of the Maccabees to the Temple Mount. Near the tombs we will
stand and swear to continue in our time what they started in their time. We
shall carry the testimony of the Maccabees from this godly historical place
and bring to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount as a heritage and an example
for our generation. We shall light the Hanukkiah menorah and a Maccabean
torch at their graves. We shall run with the torch along the route of their
victories on the beautiful mountains of Jerusalem and with their godly and
heroic spirit we shall light the hearts of the Israelis and friends of the
G--d and people of Israel all over the world. We shall all again become
Maccabees.
On the way to Jerusalem we shall stop at the tomb of the great prophet
Samuel who was the one who anointed David to be the king of Israel. King
David was very much beloved of G--d and G--d promised that from his seed
will come the messiah of Israel. King David was the most beloved king of
the people of Israel and his name has remained forever a living name and
memory in the life of the people of Israel up to this day. We shall bring
the torch and the heritage of the Maccabees to Samuel's tomb and in the
tomb we shall light the Hanukkiah menorah and we shall state our
faithfulness to the heritage of the prophet Samuel and King David and we
shall state that we shall do in our time what they did in their time for
the redemption of the Temple Mount, the house of G--d, Jerusalem and the
land of Israel.
>From Samuel's tomb the torch and Hanukkiah will be brought to Jerusalem.
Near Orient House, which has become the focus of the activities of the PLO
enemy who, as in the time of the Hellenist enemies, want to destroy the
State, the people, the faith and the culture of Israel, we will relight the
Hanukkiah menorah from the Maccabean torch. In this place we shall swear
to liberate the holy mountain of G--d, Jerusalem and every part of the holy
land which G--d promised to Israel from the presence and control of the
terrorist enemy of Israel and murderer, Yasser Arafat, and his PLO band. We
shall swear to sacrifice everything in our lives for this godly goal. We
shall completely reject all the false evil agreements which have been
signed by the Israeli leadership with the devil, Yasser Arafat, as a result
of spiritual weakness and under the pressure of the great physical powers
of our time all over the world. We shall warn our people in Israel that the
terrorist Arafat is preparing a genocide war against Israel and the Jews
after he obtains all the areas that he will receive in Judea, Samaria and
Gaza according to these agreements. He will do it from the heart of the
land which will bring a great danger to the survival of Israel after this
cruel enemy has his base in the midst of our homeland. We shall warn them
that, together with the Arab enemies surrounding Israel, they are preparing
another holocaust of the Jewish people. We shall call on them to wake up
and immediately stop this great danger for the people of G--d. We shall call
on the people of Israel not to be afraid of all the powers all over the
world who are doing their best to divide up the land of Israel and give it
to the modern enemies of G--d and Israel. We shall call on Israel to trust
only in G--d, His word, His promises and His covenant and to be faithful to
His word and not to give any piece of the land to the enemies of Israel and
always to remember that this land was give to the people of Israel alone to
carry the mission which G--d gave to Israel since He spoke to Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob when He told them that this mission can be fulfilled only
from this land. We shall state our complete obedience to the Word of G--d
and His eternal covenant with Israel. We shall swear faithfulness to G--d
and His word and that we shall never give up any piece of our holy
Mt.Moriah, Jerusalem our eternal capital, and our eternal land. As
Mattathias the Maccabee did we shall call the people of Israel to the flag
of the G--d of Israel: who is with G--d will come with me.
>From Orient House we shall march to the Damascus Gate of the Old City. In
front of this gate we shall again relight the Hanukkiah and dance with
Israeli flags for the honour of the G--d of Israel. The message to the gates
of Jerusalem will be very clear: we are once again here by the will of G--d
and forever.
Then we shall march with the torch, Hanukkiah and the flags along the main
street of the Old City to the Temple Mount. This is will be the most
exciting time of this day. Our goal is to go up to the Temple Mount and to
bring the torch of the Maccabees to the site of the Temple and to light the
Hanukkiah menorah with prayers and songs of joy. We pray that G--d will
again perform His miracles and together with His new Maccabees, the
Faithful Movement, remove the abomination from His holy hill, purify His
holy site and will give us the major moment of the rebuilding of His house
and the renewing of the worship of His holy name.
Not only the enemies of Israel which surround her in the Middle East and
elsewhere together with the so-called "Palestinians" from the heart of the
land but also all the powers all over the world are increasing their
pressure on Israel in these days. Now their main direction is not only the
land of Israel but mainly Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. They know that
this is the heart, soul and focus of Israel and the Jewish people and they
think that once they take Jerusalem and the Temple Mount from Israel they
will at last succeed in destroying Israel. On the Temple Mount on this day
we shall show our complete faithfulness and obedience to our beloved G--d
and His word. In our prayers we shall tell Him that we trust only in Him.
We can feel the special significance of this exciting and critical time in
which we are now living in Israel. We are expecting major godly events to
occur and we are looking forwards to the reappearance of the G--d of Israel
with His miracles. We shall pray the prophecy of Zechariah 12 and 14 as
well as the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 where G--d promised to defeat all
the enemies who will come from all over the world to destroy Israel in the
last days.
"The burden of the word of the Lord concerning Israel, says the Lord, who
stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms
the spirit of man inside him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of
reeling to all the people around, and it shall also be against Judah in the
siege against Jerusalem. And on that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome
stone for all the peoples; all who burden themselves with it shall be
grievously hurt. And all the peoples of the earth shall be gathered
together against it. On that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse
with panic, and its rider with madness; and I will open my eyes upon the
house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the nations with blindness.
And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of
Jerusalem are my strength through the Lord of hosts their God. On that day
I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among trees, and
like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples
around, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited
again in her own place, in Jerusalem. And the Lord shall save the tents of
Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the
inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. On that
day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he who is
feeble among them shall be as David on that day; and the house of David
shall be like a divine being, like the angel of the Lord before them. And
it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the
nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of
David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of
supplication; and they shall look towards me, regarding those whom the
nations have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an
only son, and shall be in bitterness over him, as one who is in bitterness
for his firstborn." (Zechariah 12:1-10)
We shall also pray and read the Word of G--d through the prophet Joel: "For,
behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the
captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will
bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will enter into
judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom
they have scattered among the nations, and have divided my land." (Joel 4:1,2)
Then we shall pray on the holy hill of G--d the Word of the G--d of Israel
through His prophet Isaiah in chapter 28 where He speaks about the false
evil covenants which were signed with the devil, Yasser Arafat. (Oslo,
Hebron, Wye Plantation, Sharm el Sheikh) The prophet speaks the Word of G--d
to the leaders of Israel in Jerusalem with hard words where he warned them
and told them how evil it was to sign these agreements and how dangerous
they were for Israel and that the G--d of Israel will never accept them. He
says that they will never work and that G--d will destroy them. This
prophecy is a very important and unique prophecy and like the others, it is
so relevant in the modern life of Israel as if it was prophesied today. The
prophet says very clearly to Israel that only the covenant of G--d with
Israel is the one which Israel has to fulfill and no others with its
enemies which the prophets calls a covenant with death and Sheol. He says
very clearly that G--d is going to lay a foundation and a cornerstone in
Jerusalem. This is the cornerstone for the house of G--d and His eternal
Word which will go out from Jerusalem to all the world. The same
cornerstone which The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement
dedicated to be a foundation stone for the Third Temple, the eternal house
of G--d on Mt.Moriah in Jerusalem, which will very soon be layed on the
right place of the temple on the Temple Mount.
Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scornful men, who rule this people
who is in Jerusalem. Because you have said, We have made a covenant with
death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge
shall pass through, it shall not come to us; for we have made lies our
refuge, and under falsehood have we hidden ourselves; Therefore thus said
the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried
stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation; he who believes shall
not make haste. Judgment also will I lay by a line, and righteousness by a
plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters
shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be
annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the
overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trampled down by
it. As often as it goes forth it shall take you; for morning by morning
shall it pass over, by day and by night; and it shall be a terror just to
understand the report. For the bed is too short for a man to stretch
himself on it; and the covering is too narrow for him to wrap himself in
it. For the Lord shall rise up as in Mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in
the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring
to do his act, his strange act. Now therefore do not be mockers, lest your
bands be made strong; for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts that a
destruction is decreed upon the whole land." (Isaiah 28:14-22)
On this godly event on Hanukkah we shall state, swear and commit ourselves
to carry again and again this holy cornerstone for the house of G--d to the
Temple Mount until the gates of the holy hill of G--d will be opened for it
and G--d will defeat the enemies which will try to stop this great
historical godly event as He promised. We know that it will soon be
fulfilled and become a reality. Nobody can stop the great wish and desire
of G--d to se His house rebuilt by Israel and open the gates to the coming
of Mashiach ben David. This great event is another important step on the
way of the march of The Temple Mount Faithful Movement towards the
rebuilding of the house of G--d in Jerusalem. We are looking forward to
great godly events in the life of Israel and we shall call on the people of
Israel as we did in the past and as we shall do in the future to be ready
for this, to do everything to come closer and closer to G--d, to be
completely obedient to Him, to immediately cancel all the false evil
agreements with Israel's enemies and to remain completely faithful to the
only one right eternal covenant, the covenant with the G--d of Israel. We
know very well, exactly as G--d promised us again and again in all the
Scriptures, that no power in the world can stop the G--d of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob from fulfilling His prophetic end-time plans with Israel. The
great event which G--d started in the land of Israel when He reestablished
the State of Israel in 1948 and made the great event of the rebirth of the
people and land of Israel in the same land of the covenant can not be
stopped. Together with the help of G--d we shall overcome all the troubles,
pressures, attacks of enemies and the weakness on the part of the Israeli
leadership. We pray and know that soon Israel will have the right godly
leadership which fits this godly time and that will cooperate with the G--d
of Israel with complete obedience and faithfulness to His covenant with
Israel. Everyone who is living in Israel feels that this great major event
of the rebuilding of the temple and the coming of Mashiach ben David is
soon to come and that G--d will give us the strength and power to overcome
all the troubles and enemies.
Everyone in the world should know that the G--d of Israel and the Universe
is together with His people at this critical and exciting time and forever.
Everyone in the world is called on to give his heart and his support to the
people of Israel which G--d is expecting everyone to do. The great godly
event which is called Israel is a condition and an opening for the
redemption of all mankind and all the world when a lion a wolf will live
together with the lamb in peace and love. Everyone in the world is called
to give his heart and support and be a part of The Temple Mount and Land of
Israel Faithful Movement which is completely dedicated to make this
wonderful vision and the Word of G--d in Isaiah chapter 2 a reality in our
lifetime. "The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and
Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of
the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and
shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And
many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the
Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways,
and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the
word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and
shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into
plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up
sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob,
come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord." (Isaiah 2:1-5)
We call on everyone who is in Israel on the day to join us in this exciting
event. We also call on everyone who cannot come to the event to contact us,
to write and call us, to send us letters of encouragement and to tell us
how they can help our holy work and have the godly privilege of being a
part of it. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone. May the G--d of
Israel bless all of you. We shall keep you in our prayers. The G--d of
Israel and we deeply appreciate and love you.
Blessings,
Levi
