THE EXILE CALENDAR IS A 19 YEAR CYCLICAL CALENDAR

In Mishneh Torah Hilchot Kiddush HaChodesh (laws for sanctifying the new moon) 6:10-11 Moses Maimonides (Rambam) explains that the present exile calendar is a 19 year cyclical calendar which contains seven leap years and twelve ordinary years.
