TWO HEBREW WORDS FOR MOON
One of the Hebrew words for moon is ‘Yareach’ (Strong’s 3394). ‘Yar’ is the same root that is found in ‘Jordan’ (Yarden) which means ‘to descend’. Another Hebrew word for moon is ‘Lebanah’ (Strong’s 3842) which means ‘white’. ‘Yareach’ is associated with the descending (dark / hidden) aspect of the moon. Lebanah is associated with the ascending (bright / full) aspect of the moon.
Since the Davidic dynasty is likened to the moon, the Davidic dynasty is destined to fall (descend) and rise again (ascend).
