• An omer or ‘sheaf’ can spiritually represent a person or group of people

• The journey from leaving Egypt (a type of the world and world’s consist) consists of a time of preparation (counting the omer) to meet with the God of Israel at Mount Sinai

• The spiritual journey consists of:

a) Becoming humble (barley beaten)

b) Judgment, trials, purification (parched in fire)

c) Remove unsound doctrine (tossed in the wind)

d) Refinement and living a righteous life (fine flour)

e) Living in unity with other brethren (13 sieves)
