ISRAEL WILL BE REDEEMED WITH THE RAM’S HORN

Midrash Rabbah - Genesis 56:9

R. Abba b. R. Pappi and R. Joshua of Siknin in R. Levi's name said: Because the Patriarch Abraham saw the ram extricate himself from one thicket and go and become entangled in another, the Holy One, blessed be He, said to him:

' So will your children be entangled in countries, changing from Babylon to Media, from Media to Greece, and from Greece to Edom; yet they will eventually be redeemed by the ram's horn’ as it is written, And the Lord God will blow the horn... the Lord of hosts will defend them (Zechariah 9:14-15).
