TWO STAGES OF THE BIBLICAL MARRIAGE CEREMONY

There are two primary stages to the Biblical marriage. The first stage is betrothal and the second stage is the consummation of the marriage.

During betrothal you are legally married to your spouse but you do not physically dwell with your mate. Spiritually, whenever we receive Yeshua into our hearts and lives, we are betrothed to Him, our Bridegroom. At this time, we are legally married to Yeshua and are members of the family of Yeshua but we do not physically dwell with Him.
