STEP #5: THE BRIDE MUST GIVE HER CONSENT

When the God of Israel betrothed Himself to Israel at Mount Sinai, the ketubah was the Torah. The children of Israel accepted the terms of the marriage by saying, “I do”. In Exodus / Shemot 24:3 it is written:

Exodus 24:3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which the Lord has said, we will do”.
