SHOFAR: REMEMBER TO FOLLOW TORAH

Passover is linked to Shavuot through the counting of the omer during the days between Passover and Shavuot. Shavuot is called the Atzeret or conclusion to Passover.

Spiritually, the coming out of Egypt (a type of the world and the ways of the world) and the journey to Mount Sinai (the giving of the Torah) is related. The God of Israel not only wants His people to leave Egypt (a type of the world) but He wants them to be redeemed (a type of Passover) and to know Him in a more intimate way by having a greater revelation of Him through the Torah/YHVH’s Word.
