Second, are you still receiving announcements saying "VOTE NO TO NAZIS
ON THE INTERNET!!!" or similar? The vote in question (for a proposed
"Usenet News group, " rec.music.white-power) ended in February; when
finally tabulated, it proved the greatest NO vote in the history of
Usenet. Our subscribers from that time surely remember that we
recommended reading the call for votes, and casting a ballot.

But the vote also provoked mass hysteria; judging from our incoming
mail, this is clearly still going on. The vote is over. Even were it
not, it is a violation of the voting procedures to instruct people how
to vote without telling them how to read the "Call for Votes."

If you receive such a message, please ignore it. Or even better, send
the above information back to the sender!
