Hello Eddie

This is going to be a *hot* subject for British members. People feel very
strongly - either pro-European union or against-European union!

Thank you for printing your article, I found it very interesting. I didn't
know about Euro-region maps being published - but I am not surprised. I
think there is a lot going on in the background which we don't know about!

My personal view is I would like to remain on friendly terms with other
nations and to trade with them but I am not happy about the creation of a
European superstate. When boundaries between the nations are removed it
does not always lead to peace but to tribal conflict as we have seen in
Bosnia, Central Africa and many other parts of the world. The Bible gives
clear warnings to leaders who remove boundary stones.
MOVING THE BOUNDARY STONES AROUND THE NATIONS WHICH THE BIBLE WARNS BRINGS A
CURSE. (DEUTERONOMY 27:27)

If Britain does become part of a Federal European State we will lose our
sovereign independence and be forced to obey laws devised by Brussels. One
recent example should be sufficient to ring warning bells -

The European Parliament has passed a resolution requesting the Commissioners
to frame legislation abolishing all forms of discrimination against
homosexuals. This will include specifically:

a) abolishing the age of consent which protects young boys from homosexuals.
b) destroying all police records of paedophiles.
c) making all forms of discrimination against homosexuals illegal including
religious discrimination.

This means that any minister who refuses to marry two homosexual men or a
lesbian couple in his church could be prosecuted for discrimination.

The vision of Chancellor Kohl, Germany, has stated his intention of making
European integration eternal and indivisible with no escape for member
states once they are in. This united European superstate all sounds
frighteningly like the prelude to one world government forseen in Revelation
chapter 13.

This leads me on to another point. I visited my parents the other day and
picked up one of their non-religious, normally non-political magazines 'This
England'. To my surprise in the centre, was an article which exposed the
Bilderberg group which is a secret society of worldwide power-brokers
dedicated to creating a One-World government, with the European Union being
a first stage in that process. Several names were mentioned who have
attended their top secret meetings - politicians from all three main British
political parties, including of course Tony Blair (Labour Leader), Paddy
Ashdown (Liberal Democrats Leader) and Kenneth Clarke (Conservative Party
who was the Chancellor of the Exchequer).

Prophecy is best understood after the event has happened and so I just
*hold* all prophetical interpretations as *a possibility*. One thing I am
holding as *a possibility* is the interpretation that we are heading for the
time scripture describes in Daniel 7:19-28 and Revelation 17:9-18. What do
you think?

Now you have got me in trouble with all pro-European members Eddie! <smile!>

Janet

Shalom Eddie, John Walsh (Blackburn, UK) and all fellow Rooters!

Yesterday, I was defending the Scots against Mr Booker of the Sunday
Telegraph, now I'm defending Germany against Mr Walsh's eroneous
statements!! Let's get this straight, the German goverment is NOT run
mostly by Roman Catholics. The leading faction of the Bundesregierung
is the CDU/CSU, both parties are Christian Democrats, but CSU is the
Bavarian wing, because Bavaria is a Freistaat (free state) within the
Federal Republic. Bavaria IS predominately R/C. Germany on the whole
is roughly divided between a predominately Lutheran (Protestant)
North, and a predominately R/C South. However, with the increasing
growth in independent evangelical fellowships all over Germany, and
the influence of the charsmatic movement with German Catholicism,
things are changing. There are now large numbers of evangelicals in
Baden-Wuerttemberg(S.Germany). The CDU is mostly Protestant (of all
shades), but membership is not bared to non-believers,nor to any
Christian of a different denomination, as long as they understand the
Christian basis of the party. We must also take into consideration the
(sadly increasing) differences between east and west Germany, and that
in the formerly Communist-ruled East Germany, Christianity was
outlawed. Not only that, but children and young people were taught
nothing about the Nazi past, which is why most modern neo-Nazi groups
are based in eastern Germany. Right, now to the German laws re.Sunday.
This has nothing to do with anti-Semitism, Roman Catholic attempts to
take over Europe, or whatever. Freedom of religion is written into and
guaranteed by the Basic Law (Germany's written constitution). The
reason is simple: During the Third Reich, there was no rest day at
all. The Nazis paid lip service to one, but in reality, no-one was
allowed a rest day. Everyone was expected to belong to some club/
group/ organisation (all Nazi, of course), and so-called "rest days"
were taken up with (enforced) camping trips, sport activities, folk
songs(all Nazi), lectures on Nazi ideology, etc, etc. In effect,
everyone from Kindergarten upwards was never left in peace to just
think! Apart from German women, who were expected to be bearing
children and looking after the family. When the new democratic German
government came to write the Basic Law after the war, a national rest
day was guaranteed by law, because it was considered a basic human
right. At the time, of course, they did not consider the future impact
of this law, they were only concerned about overturning the effects of
the Nazi regime. And Sunday was picked, because that's been the
traditional rest day(rightly or wrongly) in Europe for centuries. In
addition, the German government made it law to prevent workers being
exploited as they were during not only the Third Reich, but during
previous centuries.

I would like to point out to all my fellow Brits, that our nation is
about the ONLY one which does not have a written constitution. We have
always been denied one. The new(!) Labour government have promised
that they will work towards a written constitution - it's the one
thing that'll protect us from Brussels.Instead of talking "conspiracy
theories", let us ensure that they keep to their promise, by
encouraging our church leaders, and being outspoken ourselves.

AND lastly, I would like to point out that anti-Semitism and racism in
general are much higher in good old Great Britain than in Germany.
Take a careful look at what WE did to the Jews during the Holocaust,
and from 1945-48, before the State of Israel was declared. We could
have saved 1000s more Jews than we did. And we interned 100s of German
Jews during the war, because they had the misfortune to have been born
in Germany. And because we needed Arab oil, we tried to prevent the
LORD from bringing His people home!
What's more, German churches and individual Christians there have
done more for the nation of Israel, since 1945, than we in
Britain have.

Well...I've done it again!! Gone waffling on and on. My apologies, but
I'm trying to maintain a balanced perspective here!

Toda for being patient!
Yours in Yeshua HaMashiach, the ONLY one in whom there will be any
real Peace,

Susan.

Eddie,

I want to alert you about Yacov Prasch and Moriel
Ministries as well as Banner Ministries which is also
Yacov's. He has written some inflammatory articles about
Messianic Jews in Israel as well as Hebrew roots
ministries. http://www.cw.co.za/moriel/bulletin.html On this
site there is an article charging Maoz with promoting Morris
Cerrillo in Israel. I contacted Shira Sokoram and questioned
her and have her e-mail response, which I would be happy
to send you. As well as responses from Yacov. It is
apparent that Yacov is a very angry bitter man who lashes
out at anyone who disagrees with him. But I will leave that
to you to decide.

http://www.demon.co.uk/cross/ On this site scroll down to
the Hebrew roots controversy and read both the article by
Yacov and Andrew Gould.

I have an uneasy feeling that Yacov is not so concerned
about the furthering of the Kingdom so much as he his own
ego. Maybe I am wrong, but my gut feeling is distaste.

I am open to your opinions.

>From Eddie:

I have no opinions because I do not know this guy or his
organization.
