Well, I haven't gotten everything done, but finally it is finished enough that you can see many additions to the site. The deal is that you stop by and keep your eye on the top left hand corner for the date to change. If it is changed, then pan down and see where I have put a "new" sign, deal? Pam Staley is working on some of the site additions with me and I really appreciate her help! But for now it is up enough that you can enjoy the photos on the Jerusalem Conference in Little Rock (still need some names of people here and there). There also is additions to various places around. So, just drop by and look around once a week, okay? OH! Remember THE RABBI COMETH and THE RABBI ARRIVETH? I put them on the site with some other articles. Soon I will have photos of those wonderful kids from OKC that came up to work on Rabbi's house! Randy Felton's site has been really upgraded with lots of stuff, too, and we've added some new associate ministries, and upcoming conference information. Basically you will find some areas still under construction, but that's the fun of surfing, isn't it? So drop by and check us out this weekend!
Good news also: Two major miracles happened around here! (1) We now have a building for Rabbi's Biblical Studies Institute! Not large, but one that he could afford. (Thanks to everyone who keeps dropping offerings in the mail to them! Your faithfulness is greatly appreciated!) and (2) I got my birthday present early! My mom hired me a housekeeper! Baruch HaShem! Guess what? She's an old friend from our church going days! Now all I have to do is keep my mouth shut and let her clean, right? <giggle> The response has been very good for Rabbi's school. Please pray for his first classes this week. He's also been welcomed by the local Ministerial Alliance and has a meeting with the local head of the hospital chaplin's office. They are settling in very nicely. Rachel loves being able to do laundry whenever she wants, and the kids are galavanting on their bikes all over town. The oldest boy has a paper route, and the Rabbi can be seen with his beard blowing in the wind wearing his straw hat, driving our 79 brown beat up truck! We call him "Zeek, the Amish Rabbi"! Its a hoot when he teasingly tells everyone about our little shul on the prairie! Do drop by and leave an email as you pass through. Remember the high holy days approach. Tabernacles cometh! You can see a new photo of our local gang on the conference information page, too. So with that, I will close. Have a wonderful sabbath! (Tonight the ladies of the little shul are going to hold a meeting at the local ice cream parlor! Wish you all were there! Chocolate!!!! And lots of it!)

Dear Rooters, We received a letter today that we wanted to share with you. Many of you have read JESUS THE JEWISH THEOLOGIAN, or THE JEWISH BACKGROUND OF THE LORD'S PRAYER. (If you haven't you should!) Brad teaches the Jewish Studies program at Oral Roberts University and also is a teacher at Arkansas Institute of Holy Land Studies. If you would like to see a photo of Brad, then go to the photo album on our site of the Jerusalem Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas last month. Its up and going and ready for you to see... I've posted about 40 photos from the conference and there is a main link to the photo album from the new purple main page. Anyway, Brad asked for our input on something and I thought maybe this would give you an opportunity, too, to communicate your thoughts on this topic as you represent such a cross section of the world's population.
GOSPEL RESEARCH FOUNDATION Brad H. YOUNG, Ph. D. BOX 703101 TULSA, OK 74170
September 6, 1997 Dear Tom and Cheryle, GOD IS GOOD! I have personally experienced many blessings this summer and appreciate God's goodness to me. While the Bible translation and commentary projects have been making progress, God has call Gospel Research Foundation to a greater focus on prayer.
A short distance from the house, at the ranch where the research facility is located, the Jess Little Prayer Garden was dedicated earlier this summer. Jess Little was a humble man of faith and prayer who dedicated the land to God and prayed for other people as he farmed the land. I feel his relationship with God and the ranch prepared the way for Gospel Pesearch Foundation and the work I've been called to do. Recently his family attended a special dedication service for the Prayer Garden. His granddaughter ministered in song as various people shared how Jess Little's life of Christian service had impacted them.
Later in the summer, GPF hosted the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Korean students from ORU for a special fellowship dinner and prayer service. The Korean pastors and Christian leaders challenged us with their testimonies of lives dedicated to prayer. We all prayed together in the Jess Little Prayer Garden in the same way I remember praying with my Korean friends on Prayer Mountain in Korea.
While the purpose of Gospel Research Foundation has centered on Bible translation and commentary, I feel the call to devote more time and energy in a prayer ministry. I've become aware as I pray for the needs you have and the translation project, God continues to bless the academic work. The translation effort must be encompassed by prayer.
Existing translations have been influenced by our rationalistic age to minimize the miraculous in Holy Scripture. The Jewish roots of Christian faith have been neglected or completely ignored. The translation and Study Bible will stress the Hebrew heritage of our faith as well as the miracle working power of God. Please pray for this work. I need your support.
At this time, preparations are being made for a new brochure and I would invite your opinion on suggested names for the new translation. Please send me your preference or give another possibility:

***From Cheryle:
Pray about it. This is an important translation and will affect many people's lives. Just drop Brad a letter at the post office box and let him know what you think. A side note: Brad's new book PAUL THE JEWISH THEOLOGICAN is due out in late October. If you would like a copy of that book, then just include a check for $18 (includes postage) with your letter. If you wish to charge it on credit card, then you will need to order it from HaY'Did. I am redoing the catalog this week. Right now you can see on the main page that we say we accept credit cards, but when you get into the catalog it says that we don't. We really DO accept credit cards, but I just haven't had time to revise the catalog yet. Also Brad has asked that we ask you to pray for this translation. If when you pray you feel that you would like to be a monthly donor to this very important project, then he is asking for $25 a month. If you do make the pledge of $25 a month, then he will send you the newly released JESUS by David Fleusser. This is a very important scholarly work that you will want to have for your library. So, all of these things need to be included in your prayers this week. Thank you for taking time to read all these notes. We greatly appreciate your support of this work as it goes forth. This is a body of believers working together---not to support one man's work---but to walk in unity as a community to prepare the hearts and lives of the world to know our Messiah Yeshua as HE is---a Jewish Messiah and our Savior and Lord.
Shalom Alecheim,
