If you will go to our site's catalog you will find that we have a calendar for $6 to our members or $7 to non-members. I also have on hand Jewish New Testaments that will help you better understand the New Testament through Hebraic Eyes. On the calendar you will see weekly readings from the Pentetuch (First Five Books of the Bible) and also listed will be the reading from the Haftorah or Prophets. You may use your regular Bibles for all these readings, okay? In Judaism they divide the readings up each week, and they don't call the Bible by the word "Bible". They call it the TaNaK (Ta Nack when you say it). That is an acronym meaning: the T stands for Torah or the first five books that Moses was given, N for Neviim or the Prophets reading, and K for Ketuvim or the writings such as Ruth, Proverbs, Song of Songs, etc... In other words, its not like Christian pastors that read just a few verses----sort of pick and choosing what they want to say. In Judaism the Lord communicates to you through out the year in a prescribed pattern. We see Yeshua/Jesus reading the Prophet portion in the synagoguge when his ministry first begins, remember? He read from the scripture and then sat down? That is very Jewish! You would never stand to teach in Judaism. He would have sat in the seat of Moses signifying that The Lord God is higher than man, and HE alone has spoken. If you would like an article about this very passage and what was being spoken, please write to HaY'Did Learning Center for a free issue of our magazine THE TREE OF LIFE. We ran an article called STARTLING CLAIMS last summer by Dr. Robert Lindsey from his book JESUS RABBI AND LORD. This book is EXCELLENT for any beginner or even a person who is wanting the see the Jewishness of Jesus explained in an easy to read format. Dr. Robert Lindsey was a pastor in Jerusalem at a small church for over 40 years and pioneered the Hebraic roots studies that you are enjoying today. He died in 1995 but his family, Ken and Lenore Mullican, continue his work and theirs in this area with the ministry HaKesher which is linked to ours on the internet. Lenore teaches Hebrew and Israeli culture in Tulsa at Oral Roberts University. Ken runs their ministry office, and they are good friends of ours. My suggestion: order a Jewish New Testament and a calendar. The calendar will give you the Torah reading, the Prophet reading, and our Rabbi Othniel has also included a New Testament reading each week from our first five books of the New Testament. Amazing how these portions fit like a glove with the Torah readings and the Prophets! Amazing! Dear Rooters, I just revised our website with some major additions for you! We have revised the entire Our Father Abraham Study Guide recently to include all 15 weeks, and reformated it for easier reading! Wanna see? Well, just for you we posted the ENTIRE Study Guide, too! Take a look at http://www.haydid.org You can't miss it! There are 7 sections of the study guide! You may print it out if you like---free! It will be about 100 pages of printing though. We hope that this MAJOR work will be a major stepping stone for many of you students and that you will tell others about it. Now if you like it and don't want to print it all off, then it is available through our catalog for only $8 plus $3 shipping. We know that many of you have never read the book OUR FATHER ABRAHAM by Dr. Marvin Wilson. This book is required reading by anyone who wants a primer on how we left our Jewish roots and how it has changed our lives as a result. We can't give you the book OUR FATHER ABRAHAM, but we do offer the ONLY authorized study guide to go with it! What do we suggest? We suggest that you look over the study guide.
