Subject: Re: Prayer Update and Prayer Request

This is a prayer request. My life has been in termoil since my separation and
pending divorse almost 2 years ago. My faith in God has waivered and my heart
and body still ache with pain that I feel and know is old and does not need
to be harbored.

I can and do move into a place of loving and peace yet it gets shaken so that
within minutes I can be back in old anger and fear patterns. I've prayed and
it's bigger than me. I know an old pattern that I am wanting to release is
asking for help. In 2 years, with all the 'spiritual' friends that I have,
I've rarely asked people to pray for me. I have an 8 year old daughter that I
really want to be 'there' for. When I'm stuck in my stuff, I'm not there for
her, for myself or even available for the presence of God in my life.

I ask for your prayers now. I want nothing more in my life than to be in
service to the Lord and his blessings here on earth. I want to let go of my
anger, my fear, my pain and be able to see, appreciate, and live in the
blessings that abound in my life and around me. I just had my 45th birthday
and all I wanted (and am getting) was a Mezuzah, I want to live the Shema.

I would like to reprint here a prayer from the High Holiday prayer book used
in a Temple that, unfortunately is too far away for me to attend at this
time:

First the Shema is recited: (English translation:)

"Shema Yisrael: Adonai Eloheynu Adonai Echad.
Here, O Israel: The Eternal is our God, the Eternal is One.
Baruch Shem k'vod malcuto l'olam va-ed
Blessed is the Holy Name Whoes glorious Being is Eternal.

Now love the Eternal One your God with wholeness of heart, soul and might.
Let these words, which I reveal to you today, be upon your heart. Then repeat
them for your children, and recite them in your home and on your way, when
you lie down and when you rise up. Inscribe them through the actions of your
hands, and let them serve to guide your vision. Write them on the doorposts
of your house and upon your gates."

Thank you and may Adonai bless us all.

Nancy
