Gary:

I also am a gentile and have a heart for learning and putting into
practice the things learned about our hebraic roots. I understand what
you are feeling. I would like to tell you that there have been times
when I have cried and wished that I were truly a Jew, but you know what
happened once when I was crying out to God about this? He spoke to me,
audibly. I was so distressed about my not having the heritage I thought
was best and most blessed and I was crying out to God on my bed one
night asking, "Lord, what am I going to do?" He very clearly said,
"Rely on my death."

Wow, that's not the typical evangelical Christian
answer (I'm sure you know the ones I am speaking of -- believe in the
Lord Jesus Christ, have faith, etc.). Through his death we received
adoption as sons of God. If we are all sons then truly there can be no
Jew or Gentile because we are all one family, having the same Father.

The Lord showed me a biblical truth in a dream once that applies to this.
I had a dream that I was looking at a very unusual tree. This tree was
covered in various kinds of fruits. As I was looking, the gardener
approached me and said,"All these branches have been grafted in.
Would you like to see the original tree?" " Yes." I replied. He took me
and showed me the original tree. It only had one piece of fruit on it way
up at the top of the tree. He said, "You see, branches were taken from
other trees and grafted in to the true tree so that it would bear more
fruit."

Remember the scripture that says, "Although you were a wild olive shoot
you were grafted into the cultivated olive tree." ? God has shown me
that while we are all from different cultural and religious backgrounds,
different nations/races, because we live in Jesus, the true vine, we are
all one. I believe God loves variety, thus the one tree with various
kinds of fruit. God made us who we are because that is who he wanted
us to be. You and I are gentiles because that is what he wanted us to
be and I believe he definitely has a purpose for us and for leading us to
enter into this spiritual journey to learn about our hebraic roots.

I don't know what his plan for us is yet, but I know that the Holy Spirit
has led us to this place and in this time and I can't wait to see what he
has in store for us. I am learning so much about him from a hebraic
perspective. I've gained more understanding of some of the teachings
of Yeshua. I have so much more to learn. Could it be that his purpose
is to prepare a pure spotless bride by teaching us to study, observe, teach,
and practice the Torah making us more and more holy? I believe the
time is coming when we will see a definite difference between the true
worshipers of God and those who are still living according to the sinful
nature. The present church looks too much like the world, but change is
coming, and it is coming in believers like us. Hallelujah!
