Welcome to a New Year!
I trust God has blessed you in this past year. I want to wish you all
happy holidays in the name of Jesus. The old cliche "He is the Reason
for the Season" is still true. May God richly bless you in this coming
year.

1997 was truly a busy and a blessed year. I will try to.give--you all a
recap and bring you the latest-, news we have here at Potter's Clay
Ministries, Inc.

January saw Betsy and me going to Israel for the wedding of our good
friend, Carolyn Bradley to Ian Jupp. Carolyn is the children's minister
at King of Kings Congregation in Jerusalem and Ian is the youth minister
there.

February was the first meeting with Dr. Karl Coke in Charlotte, NC to
begin a relationship that has continued to grow into a new area of
ministry through the Timothy Program.

March is the time for spring break, and I took our youth group to
Juarez, Mexico, to build a house in the slums with Casas por Cristo.
April was Passover, and I attended the Seder in Independence, KS, with
HaY'Did Ministries. May brought us the "1000 Acres of Kindness" in OKC
sponsored by Cornerstone Assistance Network. I spent the day cooking
sausages. Next, was the board meeting for the Timothy Program in
Charlotte, NC.

June had us in Sherman, Texas, for service with Mended Wings and later
to San Diego for the ACMC conference.

July is summer at it hottest, and we took our youth group to
Independence, KS, to work on a project. This was an outreach to prepare
a home for a Messianic Rabbi who moved there to establish a congregation
and with HaY'Did Ministries.

August was the Jerusalem Conference in Little Rock, AR, at the Arkansas
Institute for Holy Land Studies.

September is a good time to go to Africa, and so we did. Kenya, Malawi,
Zimbabwe, South Africa; all in three weeks. This established the Timothy
Program in these countries. October brought the Feast of Tabernacles,
and we celebrated in Independence, KS, with HaY'Did Ministries. Later
that month was the Jewish Roots Conference in Garland, TX, where I spoke
in conjunction with Mended Wings and Baxter Bible Ministries.

November was time to go back to Mexico; this time with adults and "House
Number 5" was built. December wrapped up the year with a meeting at
Jubilee Bible College in Harrison, Arkansas, and a Potter's Clay
Ministries, Inc. board meeting here in OKC.

1998 is shaping up to be just as busy and interesting. I leave for
Israel on January 12 and return on the 21st. Then on January 26 -30, 1
will be in Mexico again; this time with The Way of the Cross Ministries.
This is a training session to oversee short-term mission teams. We hope
to take a medical team into the interior of Mexico later in the year
with this group. I am then doing a one day conference here in OKC with
Dr. Doug Wheeler of Mended Wings. March will again see us going to
Juarez with the youth from our church. And April 3, 1998 is the date for
the First Annual Potter's Clay Ministries, Inc. Golf Marathon! We will
be playing at Traditions, a new facility here in OKC. If you are
interested in rounding up pledges and then playing 100 holes of golf,
please call as soon as possible. We hope to raise money to fund the
training of two pastors in Africa and provide them with study libraries.
I have an invitation to go to Brazil and teach for a week in June, and
then to Ghana with the Timothy Program the last of the month. The first
six months of the year are already getting busy. I still have some time
open to teach and speak, but it is beginning to fill up quickly. I have
pending invitations to go to Tyler, Texas, and do a missions
presentation in a Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition, Dr. Doug
Wheeler has moved to Shreveport, LA, and wants me to come plan a
conference there.

Family -Things have been busy in the Felton household as well. You can
see my travels above. Betsy is doing her photography. She has had a
number of special events that people have asked her to do. This, in
addition to her usual pictures for the kids at Bishop McGuinness High
School, has kept her running. She loves every minute of it! We did have
some time for family over the holidays. Matt has recently moved in with
an old buddy from high school, who already had a nice house about eight
blocks from our home. He is still in school at University of Central
Oklahoma and is doing quite well. Matt is also working at Hideaway
Pizza, where he has recently been promoted to shift manager. He really
enjoys the food service and especially the Hideaway family. Andy is
still living at home and is in school at UCO, too. He doesn't want me to
tell anyone that he had 18 hours of 4.0 last semester, so I won't. Andy
is still working at Mercy Hospital as a physical therepy tech. As of now
we are all healthy and doing well. I am waiting for warm weather to come
back, so I can get rid of the winter blahs. I promise to do a real
newsletter this spring and include a teaching article.

Praise Report! We have mentioned requests in the past, and I need to
tell you of the answers. We have received some incredible donations. The
office now has a new copier. A Canon NP2020 was donated over the
Thanksgiving holiday. Then just after Christmas, a car was donated to
the ministry. It is a 1992, 4-door sedan. This will meet our needs for
transportation. We are considering keeping and driving it or using it as
a trade-in on something like a Suburban. We also located a cassette
recorder with auto-reverse in the record mode that is compatible with
the other equipment we have. I can now tape the teaching and lectures
more efficiently.

Upcoming Events- As mentioned before there will be a one day conference
titled: "The Hebraic Influence on the New Testament". The speakers will
be Randy Felton and Dr. Doug Wheeler. February 7, 1998 from 9:OOAM until
5:30PM.

April 3, 1998 is the date set for our First Annual Golf Marathon. Call
for details. I need 40 golfers who will raise pledges toward the total
number of holes they can play in one day!

Want more teaching? I have several booklets available regarding the
"Jewish Roots of Christianity" and "Feasts and Festivals". I also have
cassette tapes. "Pieces of the Puzzle" tells of the preparations being
put in place to rebuild the Third Temple. "Jewish Roots Introduction"
lays the ground work for study of our Jewish heritage. "Chanukah" tells
the story of Chanukah, how it is celebrated and how it points to Messiah
Yeshua. You can reach us by one of the following:

We look forward to seeing and hearing from you through this next year.
We also look forward to wherever the Lord leads us. The invitations this
past year have been interesting. We have done a Sabbath demonstration in
a home, as well as nationwide conferences and have traveled to teach and
build overseas and in Mexico. We see one main theme. Messiah (Jesus) is
coming SOON! We need to be ready and equip those we come in contact with
to be ready. Remember Matthew 28:19-20, We are to teach (make disciples)
all nations, not just evangelize and take a head count. With all of
this, we need to remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Blessings and Shalom,
Randy Felton
