Dear Rooters,

I am so glad to be in the service of the Lord, aren't you? I rejoice
daily in what HE is doing around the world and with all of you in this
newsgroup! We give HIM all the praise and the glory for this work, and
ask your continued prayer support for the associate ministries. We will
continue to keep you informed about the happenings within the teaching
ministries, new book releases, and conferences as that information
becomes available. We invite you to visit our website at
http://www.haydid.org to copy off any information that will help you in
your studies. With the coming of Purim and Passover, we especially
invite you to visit our website for the information that we have posted
for your use. If you are a pastor or not, you will find help on our
website to guide your congregation or Bible study during this coming
season of Passover. If you are looking for articles to include in your
church bulletin or Sunday school class, please know that our site is a
wealth of information for all ages.

We are including information in this bulletin about several of our
ministries. Please contact them with your questions and comments. Mark
your calendars according!

Shalom,

Dear Friends:

Potter's Clay Ministries, Inc. Golf Marathon, April 3, 1998 On Friday
the 3rd of April, Forty courageous golfers are going to risk total
exhaustion, sunstroke and a possible coronary to help make a differece
in the lives of two pastors in small African villages. You, too, can
help make a difference in their lives and the lives of their churches by
sponsoring one of our golfers in the "Potter's Clay Ministries Golf
Marathon". We will hack, chip, chase and putt until we finish at least on
hundred holes of golf in one day!

We have taken on the responsibility of pastoral training and a research
library for two pastors of local churches in Africa. These are NOT the
big city pastors, but are pastors that we know personally in the bush of
Africa. They have a heart to serve their community by teaching, and have
a heart to teach the Biblical principles that are life changing. Your
participation will assure the success of this venture. It is imperitive
that we raise sufficient funds to allow us to proceed with the task at
hand. You are a vital part of bringing this about. We can only do what
God calls us to do as He directs us. We feel that God has given us this
opportunity to raise a significant amount of funding to carry on the
work set before us. I appreciate your interest and involvement in this.
We especially wish the members of the newsgroup to pray for this work,
and for the other work that is going forth around the world. Prayer is
foremost on our list always.

We are focusing on two men and their villages in Africa. Joe E. Muikawa
pastors the Samuti Church in the midst of the Mphezu Tea Estate in
Malawi. Shukran Rutonda pastors a church in Kigoma, Tanzania. I know
both of these men personally and have been working with them since May
of 1996. I can say that their hearts are in serving the Lord in the
place they find themselves. They have small works and are in poor
areas. They have asked nothing for themselves for personal
enhancement. Their desire is to be able to pastor and lead their
churches as God desires. To do this they need the tools required. We
take for granted the local bookstores full of commentaries and Bible
study helps. In these countries of Africa, there is very little
available to even the most wealthy. Our goal is to train them in the
village where they are and then provide them with a resource library so
they can in turn train others. It is my desire to raise enough money to
provide for these projects. If you would like to make a donation
towards this work, then please contact me at pottersclay@mail.icnet.net.
We are sponsoring a golf tournament locally that we are looking for
players and sponsors. there is no set fee per hole......... people are
simply asked to make a pledge of $ per hole played and we will assign
them to a golfer. My sons, Matt and Andy are going to play. I am going
to pass out gator aide and bannanas. The rule of thumb is $1.00 per
hole and the goal is 100 holes. Some will pledge .50/hole and some .25
or .10 per hole....then there are others that will go $2.00 or even 5.00
per hole. It is up to the one making the pledge. We are grateful for
any and all support.

If we should raise more required it will go into the general operating
fund of Potter's Clay Ministries, Inc. All checks should be made out to
Potter's Clay.

Again, thank you for your help and generosity.

Shalom,

Dear Tom and Cheryle,

God is Good! As I look to the exciting events of 1998 and especially to
the April conference, I am reminded of the high goals and stated purpose
of Gospel Research Foundation. Let me take this opportunity to share
with you the purpose of the GRF:

"Gospel Research Foundation is dedicated to the scholarly exploration
and spiritual restoration of the Jewish roots of Christian Faith. GRF
seeks to interpret properly the teachings of Jesus in their authentic
context giving fresh vitality to Christian experience. The Judaism of
Jesus is the root which nourishes the branch. GRF promotes interfaith
understanding between Christians and Jews through mutual respect and
appreciation. GRF works to place the best of scholarship in the service
of people who want to learn."

The calendar year 1998 promises fresh opportunities and new beginnings.
The April 3-5 "Our Hebrew Heritage and Gospel Research" conference will
bless many people as it reaches towards our goals. You may see
information about this conference at http://www.haydid.org/gospelcon.htm
or at our website at http://www.gospelresearch.org

I am amazed at the great favor we have been given with Tulsa's two
prominent Rabbis, four Christian pastors, and numerous biblical
scholars, gathering to share with people who want to learn and to grow.
We will be covering fresh territory as we build bridges of friendship.
We must prepare for this conference spiritually as we make all the
preparation for its success. Please register early in order to assure
that you will be able to participate in all events. The Passover
luncheon has limited seating. Please allow me to reserve a place for you
at this very special Passover celebration experience. The registration
deadline is March 20, 1998.

On another subject, we still have space available for our Feast of
Pentecost Israel Tour May 24 - June 2, 1998. Since seats on the airlines
have to be reserved 60 days in advance, please let me know immediately
if you can join me on this once in a lifetime Israel experience. Send me
your phone number and I will be happy to call you personally and answer
your questions concerning the Israel trip.

I have been overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity this past year.
We have many special ministry needs this month. Your help is greatly
appreciated. Thank you for your prayers which I feel so strongly in my
life. We need your prayers as never before in our ministry. Pray that
the vision of merging prayer and biblical research will be planted and
grow in the hearts of people as we explore the Jewish roots of our
faith.

God is good to us as He answers prayer. I love to pray for you and your
concerns.

Grace and Shalom,
Dr. Brad Young
