Subject: Report from weekend visit to Dallas, TX
Dear Mishpachah (family):
Thank you so much for your prayers for me this past weekend as I
went to Dallas, TX as YOUR servant. The purpose for going to Dallas,
TX was very simple. I wanted to build closer ties with other
ministries who are teaching the Hebraic/Jewish roots of Christianity.
God is GOOD and HE is our provider! HE is El-SHADDAI !!! I can
say indeed that the Lord was my provider last weekend. My host for my
visit to Dallas are members of this newsgroup --- Gary/Valli Kerr.
THANK YOU Gary/Valli for your kindness and hospitality toward me over
the weekend. Several other members of the newsgroup stayed with me
at the Kerr residence. The Kerr's housed me, fed me and took me
back to the airport for my return trip home to Ohio. We had a wonderful
time of fellowship during the weekend.
The Kerr's only live four blocks from a Jewish believer in Messiah,
Dr. Randy Weiss who has a Jewish roots ministry named "CrossTalk".
Their website address is: http://www.crosstalk.org/
The "CrossTalk" program is a 1/2 television program teaching
about the Jewish roots of Christianity. It can be seen on various
satellite networks. After meeting with Randy and having fellowship with
each other, he interviewed me for 1 1/2 hours so that he could make
two 1/2 hour CrossTalk TV programs from the interviews. We discussed
YOU --- the Hebraic roots Global network and what God is doing by
blessing the lives of so many people through this newsgroup. I was
also able to share with the viewers and encouraged them to read,
study and purchase my book, "The Seven Festivals of the Messiah" as
so many believers in Messiah are having an increasing desire to
study and learn about the Biblical festivals.
When I know when the interview will be aired on CrossTalk over the TV
satellite stations, I will be sure to let our newsgroup members know.
After the interview, I was able to share a wonderful dinner with Dr.
Weiss and his wife. THANK YOU Randy for all of your efforts !!!!!
My final day in Dallas, Sunday, was spent attending
the FFOZ
Jars of Clay conference. Several months ago, FFOZ became a partner
ministry in our global network of ministries who are working together
to teach the Hebraic/Jewish roots of Christianity. I wanted to meet
with Boaz Michael, the founder of FFOZ (First Fruits of Zion), who is
a Jewish believer in Messiah and discuss with him how I can make
FFOZ materials available when I speak at seminars or conferences. In
addition, Boaz witnessed to the need for Jewish and non-Jewish
believers in Messiah to work together as CO-EQUALS in Messiah. In
fact, this was the very message of the Sunday morning session and the
topic of the book written by FFOZ ("Take Hold"). To this end, plans
are being made for teaching articles to be written by
non-Jewish Hebraic roots ministries in this network in future issues
of the FFOZ magazine. Please write a note to Boaz and tell him how
important it is for both Jew and non-Jew to be ECHAD (one) in Messiah
and how much you support the decision for articles written by the
very best Messianic Jewish and Hebraic roots ministries to be in the
same magazine. He will be blessed and encouraged by your support of
this endeavor. His e-mail address is (boaz@ffoz.org).
By being gone all weekend, it has taken me all
week to catch
up on things. For this weekend, this is the only newsgroup this week.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as I get newsgroup
members tell me that they get "withdrawal" symptoms when they don't
see their newsgroup e-mail on a regular basis! I am a willing servant
of the Lord but sometimes I need to keep my body rested because it is
the Temple of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).
Once again, thank you for your prayers for my
weekend trip to
Dallas, TX. It was a very blessed and fruitful trip.

Dear Eddie,
My community of believers just had the great fortune of Boaz coming in
to see us for a couple of days before he went on to Dallas for the
seminar. My pastor Bobby Carswell( who is in the book"Take Hold in the
testimony section at the back) had Boaz to stay at his house while he
was here. I was again impressed with the quality of this man of God as
he seeks to do as you do-to open the hearts of believers to
Yeshua. Please pray for Boaz, as he was very tired as he was here. He
needs to be strengthened with prayer through the network. Would you ask
the network to pray for him in this? Maybe you could work it in as you
testify about the weekend conference. I know that his wife was going
to join him in big D , and that will help, but he needs prayer for
strength to carry on what work God has for him. He is going to be
doing a conference here in Jacksonville next year if God permits.
Bobby and I have asked him about this since we flew out to Denver for
the conference last Summer.
Do you ever come down to the Jacksonville, Florida area? If you
are going to be travelling this way it would be great to meet with you and
maybe have fellowship together. I enjoy the work you do with the
network, and hope Hashem blesses you mightily.
Love in Messiah Yeshua,
Bob Lee.

Bob,
Ironically, I met a Pastor at the Christian
Alliance for Israel
conference who has a large church in Jacksonville. I am more than
willing to come to Jacksonville or any other place in the USA or
around the world to conduct a seminar on the Hebraic roots of
Christianity or speak at a conference. If you are interested in
inviting me to speak in your area, please send me an e-mail and let
me know. I LOVE to travel !!!!

Subject: Jerusalem Conference Update from HaY'Did
Learning
Center
Shalom, Mishpahah,
After returning from Little Rock where we attended The Jerusalem
Conference sponsored by Arkansas Institute of Holy Land Studies and
Sherwood Bible Church I became buried in some preparations for another
event and did not get to write to the newsgroup at that time. I hope
that the members of the newsgroup that did not attend the conference
will consider attending next year, as the teaching was outstanding and
the fellowship was just icing on the cake. So take out your calendars
right now and mark the first week of August 1999 off, and plan on
attending right now! My daughter, Laura, and I arrived on Tuesday
afternoon after our seven hour drive to Little Rock. We'd left the
grandkids with Tom (or Poppy as they call him) in Kansas and he got
the joy of being "the man in charge" of a seven and eight year old for
five days. Their father, Eric, was working long hours and came to
visit each evening, but they got to sleep over as they love to do!
Poppy is a Mr. Fixit so they were delighted to be trailing behind him
as he worked on our new deck that is forth coming after seventeen
years. It truly was a vacation for them and for us and a much needed
time of ministry for my daughter as an individual instead of someone's
mother and wife. You know what I mean? So we arrived only to find that
our hotel room was not available until the next day! Booo! We called
up Bob and Michele Coker who were staying at the same hotel and
visited with them and waited for a room cancellation until 7 pm, and
ran off to the airport to pick up Randy Felton of Potter's Clay
Ministries, and gave up on hoping for a room, and went to another
hotel for the night. Laura and Randy left me off at the hotel and went
to the airport to pick up Eddie Chumney who finally arrived around 11
pm. We'd saved some of our Italian food from dinner to feed Randy and
Eddie, and everyone went to their own motels scatted around town.
The next day was HaY'Did Volunteer Day. Let me describe what happened.
Dr. John Garr of the Restoration Foundation, Eddie Chumney, Randy Felton,
and I spoke on the vision of this network that God is forming. Each of
us described our part in what God is doing. When we laid out the
vision in front of the volunteers present we were all amazed at this
work that God has put before us! It truly was a body of believers
working side by side with each other to promote the MESSAGE instead of
promote one man! Have you looked at the names of the ministries that
are in the network? Most do not use one man's name at all! Dr
John Garr's Restoration Foundation
(http://www.restorationfoundation.org)
has just used volunteers to
create an extensive webpage for teaching THE MESSAGE on the net! All
of the past editions of RESTORE! Magazine have been posted FREE and
available for anyone from any part of the world to read! The MESSAGE
is there for the reading and the distribution to the world! Dr. Garr's
heart to serve and be a blessing to everyone through servanthood is
quite plainly displayed. You can read of the work that God is doing
all over that homepage. Dr. Garr drove in for the meeting in Little
Rock for Wednesday and Thursday, and then flew out early Friday to
speak back east to a group of 120 pastors that had NEVER heard about
the Jewish roots of their faith! He delivered his message and their
lives were changed! Baruch HaShem! On Saturday he was back in Little
Rock smiling and greeting people on the final day of the conference.
It was truly a joy to watch Dr. Garr glow after his "outing" to new
territory.
I spoke on the vision of HaY'Did Learning Center and shared with
everyone about the need for more support by volunteers. Over the last
18 months on the net many people have filled out our volunteer
questionaire. Its come in to our site and been printed off waiting for
a volunteer locally to come along to put that information into a data
base. The stack grew and grew, but no local volunteer had the computer
that would handle the program or the time to enter the information. I
was delighted to share that recently a friend, Margaret, had called
me. Her lawyer husband was allowing her to put the data base on her
computer and when she had spare time, she would gladly enter that
information! Praise the LORD! Eddie Chumney is a computer programer,
and he had created a program that will take the volunteer questionaire
information from the net and put it directly into the data base in
just a couple of clicks! What a blessing, but all the other forms that
have been coming in were on paper and hours of typing lay ahead of
Margaret. With a smile she just purrrrred about getting to know what
God was doing personally and that she was delighted to serve. Let me
share with you some more about the vision of HaY'Did that many of you
don't know. HaY'Did is an all volunteer organization. We believe in
effective volunteerism. We know that most people are already
obligating their tithe to other ministries, but the one thing that
they do have is a heart to serve through volunteering. But how do you
volunteer long distance? Years ago the Lord gave me a volunteer
questionaire that HE told me would be used to put more "pieces of the
puzzle" together. When we went on the net Eddie and I worked to get
the questionaire up for people to fill out. In that questionaire that
you can fill out are questions about your background, where you have
studied, what kind of areas you would like to assist with, and what
kinds of things you would like to learn, and what you are willing to
share as skills. We haven't been able to tap into that wealth of
resource, and some of you may not have filled it out yet, but I
believe that The Global Network will include many of you in this
end-time work, don't you? And if you can't volunteer anytime, how
about praying for all of us? God promised us that if we would ask you
to pray that HE would speak to those that we might need in the work.
An example: At the Jerusalem Conference a member of HaY'Did's Learning
Center named Sharon took me a aside to talk. She'd talked to me on the
phone several time over the last year, but it was the first time that
we had leaned against the hall wall and talked eyeball to eyeball. We
truly enjoyed ourselves. She got to ask all the questions that she
wanted and shared just before we finished talking that she loved
listening to Dwight Pryor, and that he needed to be in print more. I
laughed and said, "I agree! But he won't let me put my army of
transcribers to work. I want him to transcribe the Paul Tapes for a
possible book or articles, but he doesn't have the time to work on
that right now." Sharon said, "If he ever decides that he wants
something transcribed PLEASE call on me." Three days after returning
home Dwight emailed me and asked if I had anyone available to
transcribe a tape for an article that he was writing for Restore!
Magazine! YES! I knew someone! I contacted Sharon who was just headed
out the door to buy a $5 footpedal from Radio Shack that works well
with her tape deck that has a remote outlet on it so she could be
ready to transcribe should I call! hee! heee! She not only got the
transcript done in record time (like 24 hours) but is working on other
tapes that Dwight is thinking about turning into articles down the
road! Baruch haShem! God is good! I will write another article about
the vision of the association shortly but want to share about the
conference in this note.
The Wednesday meetings went well with all of us fellowshiping and
sharing. At noon we adjourned for a fellowship lunch and at 5 pm we
dismissed full of the vision that God had tucked away in our hearts.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we swung into full student-teacher
mode. Dwight Pryor, Dr. Marvin Wilson, Dr. Brad Young and Dr. Ron
Moseley broke into outstanding teaching "song" and we all filled up on
the message. Dr. Ron Moseley taught on THE REAL REASON THE TEMPLE WAS
DESTROYED IN 70 AD, THE REAL PURPOSE OF THE YEAR OF JUBILEE, and THE
SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH. Dr. Moseley also heads the Arkansas
Institute of Holy Land Studies (http://www.haydid.org/ark.htm)
where
you can earn a bachelor's or a master's degree in these studies. It is
one of the few places that you can get a degree and it is available by
correspondence or as a satellite school you can start in your own
city.
Dr. Brad Young spoke about his new book on Parables that will be
released in Sept 99 (preorders being taken at HaY'Did $25 to members
and $28 to non-members) that we all have waited for. Fourteen years of
study has gone into this book, and we were all thrilled to know that
it finally is going to be published! His book THE JEWISH BACKGROUND OF
THE LORD'S PRAYER is now out of print and again, we need funds to help
him publish this work. Its been reedited and revised and is much
needed in the Body. He is also working on a new translation of the New
Testament that he asks for your prayerful support and if you'd like
more information on Dr. Young's ministry visit his website at
http://www.gospelresearch.org Dr. Young spoke
with smiling face all
week long. He taught on JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN PRAYER, THE APOSTLE PAUL:
A PHARISEE OF LOVE (dont forget his book on PAUL THE JEWISH THEOLOGIAN
is also available), and END TIMES TEACHING OF JESUS AND JEWISH
APOCALYPTIC LITERATURE. Dr. Marvin Wilson blossomed while teaching a
three section teaching on HOW TO DE-MYSTIFY THE OLD TESTAMENT. Wow! A
full feast for all attending, don't you think? Well, I have good news
for you! You can order the tapes from the conference by calling
