September 28, 1998

Shalom in the Precious Name of Our Savior Yeshua HaMashiach!

Big announcements are headed your way soon. Conference schedule has
been updated and include Dwight Pryor coming to Germany and Israel.
Bridges for Peace is also doing a conference in Jerusalem in January
and you can do a tour of Israel BEFORE or AFTER the conference. More
major announcments will be coming your way, I am sure, for those of
you that live overseas. So, just know that the LORD is moving
mightily to show HIMSELF strong!

Over the summer and recently many of the teachers in the Hebraic
roots network have conducted some conferences and seminars around
the country. Many of you have wondered why so many have been held in
the mid-west. The answer? Because we ASKED the teachers to come! The
teachers are willing to travel, People. All you have to do is ASK!

In August I took off on a 2000 mile driving trip with my mom safely
tucked in beside me in her red sports car...varoom! varoom! I left
her in Dallas to visit my sister for the weekend and I headed off to
Texas to visit friends and attend the Houston conference where Eddie
Chumney was speaking. As you may remember, Hurricane Frances hit,and
I never saw Houston. Had to spend that three days with my girlfriend
in Port Arthur, TX watching the weather report and catching up on
five years of "God Stories!" Just two women, two recliners and a tv
clicker! Luby's was open but the roads were not, so we would dash
out for food, and back to read books (the car was stuffed with one of
each that we carry in our catalog), watch That the World May Know (it
was in the car, too), and just talk. A much needed rest was had by
both of us!

Meanwhile, Eddie was meeting Rob and Rick in Houston in the
torrential rains of Frances. The underpass next to the conference
building had never flooded before, but that weekend it had 4' of
water. I talked to Rob and Eddie who advised that I remain in Port
Arthur. (Like I was going any place when the highway patrol had
closed all the roads?) Eddie had a book signing at Rejoice Christian
bookstore in Houston on Friday, but no one was out shopping in the
hurricane, so it was just Eddie, the owners and one other person all
day and a few shoppers. Now those of us that know Eddie, know that
he CAN'T do small talk. An impossibility with Eddie. He is a
compulsive teacher. So guess what he did ALL day? TEACH! So, they
were treated to one on one insight into the feasts! How many of you
would like to have THAT experience, raise your hand!

I did get to talk to the conference organizer, Rob, over the phone. He
shared that he is a "helper" to bring the message to Houston. He
wants to share this with others, and his humble heart spoke
loudly over the phone to me. Many of you are also called to be
"helpers". If you haven't filled out the volunteer questionaire on
Eddie's or my website, then you need to do that. Dr. Garr has also
linked his organization to this form so that more people can be put
into our data base to help serve the teaching ministries with
volunteer helpers. My local friend, Margaret, has been typing this
information into our data base over the summer. Several hundred of
you have filled it out---THANK you! We'll be in touch! Right now we
just solicit for your prayers. We're busy putting it all into the
data base and we appreciate the volunteers that help us!

The conference went well in Houston even though only about 25 people
managed to attend around the road blocks. The organizers are also
planning on doing a prophesy conference on January 21-22, 1999 with
Eddie Chumney, Hal Lindsey, Chuck Missler, Yaacov Ramsel, and JR
Church. If you want to attend, then keep your eyes on the websites.
It will be a treat for all!

Other conferences were conducted in OKC and Branson, MO by Dr. Doug
Wheeler and Randy Felton. Tom and I attended both since they were in
driving distance for us. Almost every person in attendance at the OKC
conference came in off the net! WOW! We'd done mailers about the
conferences that cost us $$$ but the majority of people that showed
up at that conference were just like you---off the net! The teaching
was excellent and we got to meet lots of new people. This past
weekend New Orleans hosted a conference where Dr. Wheeler and Randy
Felton got to share before Georges came ashore. I have heard from
those in attendance and they were well pleased with what was
presented.

In Branson, MO we were delighted to see Officer Hines from the Missouri
Highway Patrol. We had encountered him at the Bridges for Peace
conference in Springfield, MO the month before, and Peggy Jones had
invited him to speak to this group about Christian Identity Churches
and White Supremasist. There are 11 of these churches in the
Springfield and Branson area. The Klu Klux Clan and Skinheads have
decided that its easier to infiltrate the public by being a "church",
and have even made major headway into mainline denominational
churches! I want each of you to know that we are busy transcribing
the 2 hour lecture that Officer Hines presented and will be sending
it out through the newsgroup as soon as we can. We will also post this
information on our website along with other information that he thought
people needed to know. Officer Hines DOES travel to do this speaking,
and we are making the tape available for a $5 donation to cover
postage and duplication costs. If you are interested in having the
tape, please email me at shalom@haydid.org If you have NEVER thought
about this topic, then I would urge you to wake up and become
informed! Remember that Springfield, MO is your typical sleepy middle
America town, and these groups are dangerous. It will be the best $5
you ever spent.

One of the new members to the Hebraic roots network, Jimmilea
Berryhill, M.A. (http://www.haydid.org/jubilee.htm) attended the
Arkansas Institute of Holy Land Studies conference in early August,
remember? Well, Jimmilea has a college, too, that teaches these
biblical principles in Harrison, AR. Jimmilea Berryhill also attended
the Branson conference and brought some of her area people over to
enjoy Randy and Doug's teaching. Randy and Doug will be in Harrison
in November teaching at her school. She and I have been friends for a
couple of years now, but we'd never stopped to really talk about
vision. She's been very busy with her school and completing her
master's at AIHLS and seeking a place to work on her doctorate among
other things. Her husband, James, is a truck driver and is on the road
ALOT. She takes 10 days a month to travel with James and does her
writing and correspondence from a distance. So the next time you see
a big rig, just know that God has people inside them that may be
studying these things, too.

Anyway, Jimmilea is working with us on the women's conference in
February in Branson, MO. She asked me to bring the display of our new
homeschool program and books to Harrison, AR. So when I finally left
Port Arthur and headed back to Dallas to get mom, Harrison was our
next stop.

We spent the night at Jimmilea's home and drove into Harrison the next
day where one of our good friends and volunteer, MG, joined us.
Jimmilea's college covers several homeschool families and
we had a delightful time sharing the books with her
people. If you are a homeschool family, then this new catalog is for
you. We are not sending out FREE catalogs. Sorry. Our
freebie is our extensive teaching webpage. The usual website is 5mgs.
Ours is almost 30mgs. Catalogs cost us $2 minimum,
but all we ask is $1 to help cover postage. Catalogs are sent out FREE
only to HaY'Did Learning Center members and families ($15 a year
includes 4 magazines, discounts on books, discounts
on conferences and more). We hope to have a secure online catalog up
and going by the end of the year, but in the meantime, please
consider joining the Learning Center. I am working on a new issue of
our magazine this week that will be sent out.

A week ago Randy Felton came to Independence, KS to teach our local
group. Its always a joy to have Randy here. We had about 30 for
dinner on Friday night at our home, and then on Saturday 11 people
took Randy's class on History and Geography of Israel. See! You don't
have to have a lot of people! Just call the teachers and help them
cover their costs of getting to you. Our group throughly enjoys
fellowshiping over the Word and we all benefit from seeing HIM more
closely. Randy will be teaching this course again in Harrision, AR in
November, but he is available to teach it any place that he is
invited.

Later in October Dr. Doug Wheeler will get to meet our local group when
he comes to teach us beginning Hebrew. 15 hours of student friendly
instruction around an entire weekend of fellowshiping will be had by
all. I've had several phone calls from people out of state that are
planning on coming, too. You need to bring a Strong's Concordance and
a Gesenius Hebrew Chaldee Lexicon with you. No registration fee will
be charged, but an offering will be taken.

I think that about sums up the Conference report. Remember to plan on
attending a conference soon, or, organize one in your area and invite
a teacher to come!

Remember our FREE Our Father Abraham Study Guide that is online at
our website? Well, we just finished a complete revision! AND this
time, it won't be posted online. Sorry, but the old version is still
there for you to look over. The new REVISED 1998 edition was
completely redone in correct outline form by two volunteers - James
Coots and then more recently by MG. We thank them for their
outstanding work! Another local volunteer, Margaret, assisted us with
another aspect of this project. We received permission from Eerdman
Publishing to include the study questions from the Our Father
Abraham book, from all of the 15 chapters! Over and over again we kept
hearing that people wanted to write the answers to those questions
down, and they had to retype the questions for their classes. Now
those questions can be found at the back of our authorized study
guide. The study guide now sells for $10 to our members and $11 to
non-members. If you want teach Jewish roots in your Sunday school or
Bible study, then we ALWAYS encourage you to use Our FAther Abraham
as your text book, or Eddie Chumney's Seven Festivals book. Order
your copy today of this outstanding study guide.

Hanukkah starts December 14, 1998. Now many of you may be curious about
this rabbinical festival and want to know more about it. Several
years ago my friend, Lois Lessman, and I put together a book titled
HANUKKAH: THE LIGHT IS MESSIAH. This year we have completely revised
the book. It will not only include directions on how to light the special
menorah, but also includes gift ideas, party themes, recipes, skits,
arts and crafts, an extensive question and answer section,
resource lists, AND we've added an appendix that will knock your socks
off full of teaching articles by Dr John Garr, Eddie Chumney, Robin
Scarlata, Dr. Doug Wheeler, Randy Felton and Pam Staley. Never before
has so much been under one cover. We hope to have the book ready for
you by October 15, 1998. We have last year's book on our website
where you can begin reading NOW, but you will want a copy of this
book for your family to share. Never before has one book held so
many wonderful teachings about Yeshua/Jesus as the Messiah as reflected
in Hanukkah! The price is $10 to our members and $11 to non-members.

Now don't forget that the Women Restored! Conference registration
deadline is December 31, 1998. We're already receiving
registration and the rooms are filling. Guess what other surprise we can
announce now! Bridges for Peace's Tammy Scheuser
(representative of BFP in Springfield, MO) Shalom Dancers and Shofar
singers will help with the sabbath Friday praise and
worship! 50 members make up this orchestra, choir and Hebrew folk
dancing team. They represent 17 DIFFERENT churches! I will be doing
the sabbath service with them and I can promise you that you won't
want to miss this special evening! Can it get any better? Be sure to
see our website at http://www.haydid.org/women.htm and register EARLY!
LIMITED TO FIRST 200! Speakers will be Jimmilea Berryhill, Judith Fain,
Linda Leandri, Robin Scarlata, Lenore Mullican, and Cheryle Holeman.
Topics are posted on the website. Registration goes up after December
31, 1998. We want to see YOU there.

That's it from HaY'Did.
