I attended the 1998 Feast of Tabernacles at Ocean Shores, Washington.
NOW is the time to plan for the 1999 Feast of Tabernacles !!!!!!
I am honored to have been invited back next year to serve on the
instructional staff for the event. This past conference was wonderful!
Other staff expected in 1999 includes:
Dr. John Garr of Restoration Foundation
Edward Chumney of Hebraic Heritage Int'l
Randy Felton of Pettoer's Clay Ministry
Dean Wheelock of Hebrew Roots
and many others. This will be THE conference of the year for
HEBREW ROOTS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH material.
Be there!
If you are from anywhere east of the Mississippi, I will gladly assist
you in making your travel plans, will even try to book everyone going
as a group and meet in St. Louis on the way to Seattle the day before
the conference.
This is NOT a conference to fly into for for just 1 or 2 days, believe
me. You'd miss way too much important material.
The hotel that is used is always a very good rate, the rooms have
efficiency kitchens, the food flows every day throughout the
conference,(so you really don't need big budget), there is NO CHARGE
for the conference.
IF I had to put a value on the conference as an attendee, I would
venture a cost/value in the $700. Since the WORD of GOD is priceless
and a treasure, I really can't price the value. It's GODzillions!!!!!

Shalom-
Dean Wheelock of Hebrew Roots ministries attended the 1998 Feast of
Tabernacles at Ocean Shores, Washington. He will return again for the
1999 Feast of Tabernacles. In the latest issue of his magazine
"Hebrew Roots". In the "Endnotes" section of the journal there was a
very nice review of the 1998 Feast of Tabernacles at Ocean Shores.
I'd like to share most of this article with you.
~ The Festival of Succoth ~
The annual Festival of Succoth
has just been completed. We would
like to share with you just a little bit
about the wonderful time that we had
celebrating this festival with brethren at
a beautiful site in Ocean Shores,
Washington.
This festival site was sponsored by
Christian Renewal Ministries Interna-
tional (CRMI). CRMI is dedicated to
building bridges between Believers
from the many different backgrounds
who share a common love for their
Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach, as well as
the Hebrew Roots of the Faith. .........
It takes an enormous amount of planning,
effort and enthusiasm to sponsor a Feast,
and .... [they] .... were enthusiastic to
the very end.
Of course many other people, in
addition ...... were involved in
the festive events that took place;
examples include leading the praise
and worship singing, special mu-
sic, children's activities, and hosting
fellowship each evening in the Sukkah.
We were so blessed to be able to meet
and fellowship for eight full days with
bothers and sisters who, while not
holding in perfect agreement on every
little point of scripture, were in com-
plete agreement in spirit. Our loving
appreciation is extended to all who
contributed in making this Feast "Our
best Feast ever."
This year's festival included a vari-
ety of teachers and speakers from di-
vergent backgrounds. We were blessed
to be able to meet, fellowship, form
new friendships and learn from:
Stephen Berkowitz, Robert Bodkin,
John Christopher, Eddie Chumney,
Doug and George Dolly, and Robert
Somerville.

cerning the ministry of CRMI or about
next year's Succoth celebration may

As you can see from the list below, we will have a lot of fine teachers
at our Feast of Tabernacles celebration in 1999 (Sept 24 through Oct
3). Some of our speakers can only be at Ocean Shores for one or two
days and others will be celebrating with us for the whole eight days.
We should be able to send out a complete schedule within the next two
months.

We have also booked Dr. Danny Ben-Gigi for the 1999 Feast of
Tabernacles at Ocean Shores, Washington. Dr. Ben-Gigi is an extraordinary Hebrew
language instructor. He is the developer of "Hebrew World", an
interactive multimedia computer program for learning Hebrew. While
ideal for young children (ages 6+), the program has been used by the
American Embassy in Tel Aviv to assist staff members in more rapid
acquisition of reading & writing skills. Dr. Ben-Gigi will be giving a
very entertaining and educational three-day introduction to Hebrew.
Our attendance for this event has only been about 120 for the past two
years. Because of our early start this year, we hope to substantially
improve on our previous attendance. Our target for 1999 is 500
attendees.
1999 Feast of Tabernacle celebration at Ocean Shores is both a
celebration of Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) and a
teaching conference with teachers from a "Hebrew Roots" perspective.
We have specifically chosen speakers because of the knowledge that
they have to share. We do not choose or control the subject matter --
we rely on the Spirit to bring us what we need.
We observe God's Feasts as joyous celebrations. Messianic dancing and
singing have become an important part of this celebration. The Feast
of Tabernacles at Ocean Shores may appear, to many, to be "Jewish" in
its presentation, because we have added many of the "Jewish" customs
that are given support in the Apostalic Writings (New Testament) and
the Tanakh (Old Testament). It is definitely NOT a place for those
who lean toward anti-semitism or who hold to a dispensationalist
theology. The Ocean Shores festival is also not a place for
exclusivists; it is an inclusive feast that is open to all.
We have been seeing mainstream Christianity moving toward an
acceptance of the Biblical Holy Days and we are trying to build as
many bridges as we can to facilitate that movement. We are bringing
Christians, Messianics, and Jews together to CELEBRATE the Feasts of
the Lord. God has called us to be bridge-builders and wall-razers.
The Feast of Tabernacles at Ocean Shores is a non-denominational,
non-sectarian event sponsored by Christian Renewal Ministries
International (CRMI). Attendance is open to all. (No registration fee -
hotel discounts)
All of the teaching workshops at the Ocean
Shores Festival of Tabernacles are free to attendees. There are no
costs for attending. It is paid for entirely by donations to CRMI.
All contributions, to CRMI, pay for this event because our staff are
all volunteers.
