Subject: HaY'Did Learning Center Update
January 5, 1999
Shalom to all of you! Our prayer is that you are richly
blessed in the coming year, and that your knowledge of the
LORD YESHUA/Jesus Christ increase your relationship to HIM.
May safety and blessing flow to you and yours and may the
power of restoration around you occur many times this year.
Before we go any further I would invite all of you to visit
our conference information page as soon as possible if you are
even interested in possibly attending a conference in the next
8 months. Dates have been coming in from the teachers, and
some new areas of the country will be hosting conferences, so
please check them out. If you are interested in hosting a
conference, please don't be shy! Contact the teachers and let
them get the dates fixed in their schedules as soon as
possible. You don't have to have a lot of people either. Our
local group is about 20-30, and we are very blessed to have
the teachers come share. The teachers love feeding the flock,
so to speak, so do check out the dates. Redlands, CA, Mexico
City, Kansas City and St. Louis are just some of the new
locations! So share the schedule around with your friends, and
we hope to see you at one of them!

Topics:
(1) Women Restored! Conference dealine extended til January

(2) Dr. Brad Young's speaking schedule and change of dates for
the Tulsa Conference
(3) Redlands California conference website
(4) Bridges for Peace newsletter signup location
(5) Dr. John Garr to Mexico City to teach!

(7) My master's degree progress
(8) Resource for you to check out

(1) We have extended the Women's Conference registration
deadline til January 20, 1999. We found out that not everyone
had sent out the information about the conference to people
that were not on the internet, and that several people from
overseas had just found out about it, so we decided to be
generous and push back the special price ($100 per person)
deadline til January 20. Several people cheered as they had
wanted to come, but couldn't get their local groups to get
organized quite yet, so do pass on the new information. We
have updated the website registration information with the new
date.
Remember that children ages 6-12 are only $76.50 and children
1-5 are $10 but there MUST be 2 adults in the room to quailify
for the $10 per child registration, okay? We will have a
mother's area if needed.
We are still in need of someone to sign for the deaf. I have
asked some of the local people in Springfield to see if the
people that sign for their church might be interested, but
they haven't gotten back to me. If you know someone that can
sign, would you have them contact me? THANKS!
The people that are attending the conference will be receiving
a spiral bound workbook when they register. This workbook will
be full of the outlines of the speakers and include an
extensive bibliography, too. We hope that the students that
attend will appreciate this workbook, and take it home to
share with their local groups, too. We will not be selling the
workbook separately, but it will be included with orders of
conference tapes ($60 preordered by January 20, 1999 or $65 if
ordered after that date). We will ship the tapes and workbooks
out within 4 weeks of the conference. This teaching time will
be worth the investment of your time to attend, but if you
can't come, then do call 1-316-331-7712 to preorder your
tapes.
We have about 20 men that are registered to attend the
conference, too. They are as excited as we are about this
unique experience. So if your husband has been wondering about
coming, you can tell him that he won't be alone.
If you are flying into Springfield/Branson you might want to
remember that you will have to rent transportation at the
airport when you get there. Its about an hour from Springfield
to Branson. Some are flying into Tulsa and renting their cars
there to drive up (3 hour drive), but that is totally up to
the individual. We've posted ground transportation information
on our website.
(2) Dr. Brad Young's speaking schedule: Dr. Young was gracious
enough to share his speaking schedule with us and we have
posted it on our website.
He will join our local group here in Independence January 16,
1999 for a day of fellowship and teaching. Those that are in
the area may want to drop me an email for more information.
We'll do a covered dish brunch and then he will teach in the
afternoon.
Dr. Young's books include JESUS THE JEWISH THEOLOGIAN, PAUL
THE JEWISH THEOLOGIAN, and PARABLES: Jewish Tradition and
Christian Interpretaion (his newest release). Dr. Young's
Gospel Research Foundation's Conference dates were changed to
March 26-28,1999. If you plan on attending, keep your eye on
our website for more information, or send an email to be
included on their mailing list. Dr. Brad Young will also be
speaking at the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Gospel's
conference in March, Ridgecrest NC at the Christian Believer's
United Conference in May, and also traveling to Texas in the
coming months. You won't want to miss him when he is in your
part of the country.
(3)Dr. Brad Young and many other outstanding scholars will be
in Redlands, CA Check the Jerusalem School of Synoptic
Gospels' website for more information:
http://www.jerusalemschool.org/ I have linked to that page,
too, and hopefully I will be receiving more information to
post soon.
(4) Were you aware that Bridges for Peace has a weekly online
mailing from Jerusalem? It is excellent! We would encourage
you to visit their website at http://www.bridgesforpeace.com
to sign up for it. They also have an extensive library
available of teaching articles that you are welcome to use and
share. Their monthly meetings in Tulsa are on the first
Thursday of the month at their office. April 1, 1999 will be
their Biblical Passover Seder in Tulsa, and in May they are
hosting a wonderful night honoring Israel! We attended last
year's event and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We've posted
their speaking schedules on our site, too, so again--CHECK IT
OUT!
(5) I spoke to Dr. John Garr the other day and he wanted me to
tell you that he will be in Mexico City the last week of
January 1999 to teach. You are to contact Eduardo Huerta,
National Director of Restoration Foundation, 740-6057, Sur67A
3029 COL, Asturias del Iztacalco, 028080 Mexico DF. Maybe you
don't live there, but you might know someone down Mexico way
that would love to attend a full week of teaching. Last time
people showed up off the net at the teaching and were really
excited to meet up with Dr. Garr.
(6) Pam Staley reports that her new newsgroup is growing by
leaps and bounds! It is unmoderated but lively. Randy Felton
and Rabbi Silvers keep everything moving and on track. So if
you are wanting a newsgroup go visit Pam's site and sign up:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/1776/
(7) My master's program is coming along wonderfully from
Arkansas Institute of Holy Land Studies! Remember that
Arkansas Institute has their annual conference the first week
of August in Little Rock. We'll be there to greet you, too!
See the website for more information on that conference.
I would encourage all of you to contact either AIHLS
(http://www.haydid.org/ark.htm) or Jubilee Christian College
and take some classes. They both are accredited colleges and
will offer lots of information for you the student! Several of
you have already signed up for classes and have reported that
you are enjoying them. I haven't written alot about Jubilee
Christian College (http://www.haydid.org/jubilee.htm) but I
should have more online information for you soon. Jubilee is
run by Jimmilea Berryhill and she works with Dr. Doug Wheeler
whom we all have grown to love through his wonderful teachings
and Biblical Hebrew Methodology course. Dr. Wheeler will be in
Harrison, AR teaching Hebrew for 4 days the first week of
February before he comes here Feb 5-6, 1999 to teach beginning
Hebrew again to our local gang. I will be in the Harrison
class that week, too. In March Dr. Wheeler will be in St.
Louis with Pam Staley, and in Kansas City with Pam's parents
teaching Hebrew. Cost of the seminar? FREE!!!! So do check out
the website for more information on those dates and the two
colleges. Man! I remember when I first started studying this
"stuff"! I would have killed for a curriculum that lays the
work out for you in a systematic way! The Lord is good, isn't
HE?
(8) Have a teaching resource that you may want to check out
when you are surfing. Christian History Magazine! You just
need to type that into any engine search, okay? Its one of the
finest teaching magazines about history on the market. It is
$20 a year, and guess what? They have a new CDRom available
with all the back issues for just $49 + shipping (about $56
total). Those of us that are always looking for resources and
not finding them, ordered both, okay? Definitely something you
will want to consider for your library.
Shalom and do let us hear from you!
