We are having to send out our alert on the Jerusalem Petition. The many immediate
responses so far are very encouraging, and we trust everyone will keep this
important endeavour in mind as we collect signatures over the next year.

The Jerusalem Petition

The time is rapidly approaching when Israeli-Palestinian peace talks will
focus on the final status of Jerusalem and other key issues. The
International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is launching a petition drive to
demonstrate Christian support for Israel's claim to Jerusalem at this
crucial time when tremendous pressure will be exerted to re-divide the city.

We are asking Christians from all over the world to endorse and sign this
petition, which will be featured in a document of support presented to the
state of Israel in March 2000, during the Planning Meeting for the next
Christian Zionist Congress.

We will be collecting names and signatures through various means, including
via the Internet (See our website at http://www.icej.org.il). Please read
the following statements and signify your agreement by return email to
<meid@icej.org.il>. We ask that you forward this email alert to others who
may be interested in signing. We also invite you to print a copy of this
petiton to circulate for signatures, to be returned to the ICEJ by mail at
PO Box 1192, Jerusalem 91010 Israel; or by facsimile at tel. #
972-2-5669970. We encourage all signatories, if agreeable, to include
their mailing address so that we may send you relevant materials in future.
