Step #1: Kaddesh and the first cup

Kaddesh is the sanctification of the day. The first of the four cups are filled at this time. Each participant should fill each other’s cup.

In ancient times, nobility never poured their own cup. In doing this, we are reminded that Passover is the Festival of our freedom and we are to see ourselves as kings and priests (Revelation 5:10) before the God of Israel.
