TISHREI = JUDGMENT = SCALES = TRIBE OF DAN

The rabbis teach that since Dan and Din (as in Yom HaDin, the Day of Judgment) are both derived from the same Hebrew root. This symbolizes that Tishrei is the time of Divine judgment and forgiveness.

Every month in Hebrew has its sign of the Zodiac (in Hebrew, Mazal). The sign of the Zodiac for the month of Tishrei is Scales. The rabbis teach that this is symbolic that Rosh HaShanah is the Day of Judgment.
